Quick reminders:
Tomorrow before school is the final opportunity to purchase Homecoming tickets. Tickets are $10 each; students can only purchase tickets for themselves and an approved guest. Tickets will be on sale in the school store from 8-8:30.
But your student rides the bus and you’re worried about a late bus keeping them from the fun on Saturday night? Never fear, we will sell tickets to bus riders as they arrive until the very last bus has arrived tomorrow.
Saturday night please make sure your student arrives with ticket(s) complete with signatures, photo ID, and their dancing shoes 🤗

Homecoming week is upon us! Today was the door competition and it was certainly tough to choose a winner.

Senior convocation was a wonderful celebration for Class of 2024: Seniors Once, Titans Forever

We are so excited for our 80 Titans who completed training this week to serve as Peer Leaders in the new Sources of Strength program!

Having a great time meeting families at our Back to School Night open house tonight!

Our unified PE class had a great time the other day playing outside when the weather was a little cooler!
We had a spirited start to the year with a pep rally last Friday and we look forward to our next pep rally closer to Homecoming! Roll Titans! (thank you to the SCA for all their hard work with these events and photo credit to Cosby student Seth T)

The Cosby admin team hopes to see you tonight for the home opener Varsity football game against Thomas Dale (7 PM kickoff time). Remember it’s a Hawaiian theme so rock your best Hawaiian shirt or lei. Tickets are $10 and you can purchase through Gofan or at the gate.

Everyone is doing a great job learning the new traffic patterns for the 23-24 school year! We have had morning drop off cleared out well before the first bell each morning, and the afternoon lot has been essentially empty by 3:25. A couple quick reminders based on the first few days:
1. Remember that in the morning, if a parent is driving up the Hull St side driveway, they should proceed through the flag pole loop. Please do not turn into the student lot from that side and make the immediate left to drive up toward door 1; it creates an additional merge spot and unnecessary vehicles inside the student lot where people are also trying to walk.
2. If a parent is dropping off along the loop from the stadium side entrance, please make sure you drop off before you reach the corner by the door 1 flagpole loop. You can drop off anywhere you are adjacent to sidewalk along that loop.
3. Students, if you are being dropped off or parking in the front lot near the flagpole loop, please stay on the sidewalks. Do not cross through the street or loop cutting off traffic. This is safest for you and quickest for traffic. Additionally, student drivers, please be mindful of the moving vehicles and make good decisions as you’re walking to or from your vehicle.
4. Finally, remember that the afternoon pattern is identical to last year. Parent pick up makes a right into the student lot from the Hull St side driveway and completes a loop around the lot, exiting with a left turn back onto the front driveway toward Fox Club Pkwy. Students and parents exiting the lot through the back opening by the band tower need to stay to their right as they turn onto the front driveway so parent pick up arriving after 3 is still able to turn right into the student lot.
Officer LaBello is monitoring traffic on Fox Club Pkwy and is making adjustments based on the conditions (ie. Actively directing traffic at times, allowing left turns once it is no longer an impediment to the flow of traffic, etc.). Please be mindful of and patient with all of the faculty supporting the traffic pattern in our lot; they are doing their best to support a safe and efficient experience for the community.
If you would like to review the slideshow for additional support with the traffic patterns, you can access it at this link:

Apparently this driver was confused and thought our student lot was the right place to park last night, across a row of spots. Good thing we have so many extras… 👀 🤦🏻♀️ We are aware this is eating up student spots and hope to get it moved ASAP. Thank you for your flexibility, Titans!
We had a great time on Monday welcoming the class of 2027 to Cosby. Freshmen were greeted by our dance team, cheer team, SCA officers, and more! Upperclassmen volunteers took them on tours of the building. They learned about “How to Cosby” from their admin class sponsor, Ms. Fial, and then they got to explore our various club offerings while taking gown pictures, promising themselves that they’ll make it across the stage at Siegel Center in 4 incredibly short years.

Here are more of the new Titan faculty that will be joining us this year!

It’s a great day for some quilting in the Crafts 3 class with Ms. Dabney

Today our students and faculty had a chance to “say hello” to friends new and old at our Cosby photo booth near the commons. Thank you for a great week and remember, it all starts with one simple word: hello. Make someone feel seen and heard; you never know what friendships you might be starting. Be kind, Cosby Crew!
