Connor cleans displays at the Island County Historical Museum.
Great care must be taken with delicate historical artifacts and Connor has been an expert at carefully cleaning items without handling them. Great job taking care of things, Connor! There are so many things to learn at the museum. Check it out!

Rhayne keeps the classroom well stocked by completing inventory of the supplies we use everyday. She's also great in the kitchen! Just look at that beautiful omelet she created. Way to go young lady! Keep up the good work.

Yesterday we had the absolute pleasure of hosting the team from ANEW of Tukwila for a Forklift Certification Training. Two very dynamic instructors taught students the safety rules and operating procedures for using a forklift. All of the students present made the requirements and have a forklift certification good for 3 years. Well done everyone!! And thank you Jazz and Maurcrei of ANEW for investing your time and expertise in these students.

Exceptional Academy students and NWMS students worked together to raise awareness for NMDP. What is NMDP? It stands for the National Marrow Donation Program.
From their website:
The real goal for NMDP is to find donors to help people
with blood cancer like leukemia or lymphoma. With one
swab in the mouth doctors look for a donor to match
someone in need for a blood marrow or for blood stem
cell transplant.
NWMS will have a donor drive (registration) on June 1, 2024 from 1-5 PM for non military persons at the middle school. .

For those experiencing Developmental Disabilities.

Attached is a flier for an event May 18. The time together is designed for families who are thinking about (or perhaps would be wise to consider…) life when their loved one who experiences a developmental disability could be living outside their home. For some this happens as parents reach 60s,, 70s or 80s - others it is earlier in the life of the family.

One key here: strongly encouraging families to email/text/call as we are supplying lunch – 360-499-5401 or [email protected] and they can choose from sandwich options from the rather popular Greenbank Deli!!!!

Today is the last day to RSVP for our event! Come on out, we'd love to see you!
