Yesterday we said goodbye to the children of Naíscoil Léim an Mhadaidh class of 2023. We are so proud of them all and will miss them.
We wish them all the best for their future in primary school .

We had a great morning this morning celebrating the Naíscoil class of 2023 graduation. The children showcased some of their songs from throughout the year for their parents and grandparents followed by the presentation of their Graduation certificates, a farewell song , the traditional throwing of the hats , some dancing and of course cake.

We’re getting ready to launch applications for Free School Meals and Uniform Allowance for the School Year 2023/2024! Here’s what you need to do to make sure you’re ready to submit your application.
If you are in receipt of one of the following:
➡️ Income Support
➡️ Income Based Jobseeker’s Allowance
➡️ Income Related Employment and Support Allowance
➡️ Guarantee Element of State Pension Credit
You should request a Proof of Benefits letter now, by clicking here: https://secure.dwp.gov.uk/get-a-proof-of-benefit-letter/
It will take at least five days to be sent to you. Once you receive the letter keep it securely and then upload a copy of the letter when you apply for Free School Meals and Uniform Allowance.
Please note, if you are in receipt of Tax Credits or Universal Credit, you do not require the above letter.
More information will follow in the coming weeks on the 2023/24 Free School Meals and Uniform Allowance applications.

Ag léamh le chéile...
Reading together.
During their naíscoil experience the children have developed a love for books and stories and how to handle books appropriately. Through freeplay the children are able to choose books and relax in the Gairdín Léitheoireachta (Reading garden ) to look at them and share reading experiences with their friends During storytime they are learning that the printed word has meaning. Throughout the session they have access to numerous factual as well as fictional books. During our Big Bedtime read event and having access to our Lending Library on a weekly basis the children are able to share books at home with their parents creating a further love for books.
Whoever said "Traditionally boys don't like to read" haven't met our Buachaillí sa Naíscoil Léim an Mhadaidh

Another busy week Growing, playing and learning together in Naíscoil Léim an Mhadaidh
As the year has moved on we have observed the children becoming increasingly happy and familiar in their surroundings and with each other. Developing great friendships and enjoying a fun filled and stimulating experience together. This wee reel below shows the children last week engaging in some very interactive and collaborative play initiated and sustained by themselves without adult lead.
Some roleplay with the Puppet theatre, picnicing, some great building of 3D representations in construction to add to their roleplay and some different table top activities.
Our work is almost done.. we have developed these páistí beaga into happy and confident learners ready for their journey ahead in Bunscoil. 💕

Tháinig Joanne ó Crafty teddies go dtí Naíscoil Léim an Mhadaidh inniu. Rinne na páistí a dteidí féin.
Joanne from Crafty Teddies came to Naíscoil today. The children all made their own teddy. They stuffed them and put a wish star inside before Joanne sealed them safely. The teddies all have their own birth certificate and we can't wait to tomorrow to hear what all the children have named their teddies..
This very kind and generous opportunity was gifted to us by one of our fantastic parent' s and grandparent's and it is so lovely that the Naíscoil children shared this activity with each other.

Bhí lá go hiontach againn ag ár Lá Spoírt inniu.
Spraoí faoin aer, téigh suas, rásanna, treallamh inséidte agus uachtar reoite. Bhí scéitimíní ar na páistí nuair boinn agus teastais a bhfuair siad.
We had a fantastic day at our Sports day today.
Fun outdoors, warm up, races,inflatables and ice cream. The children were excited when they received Medals and certificates.

It was the last day of our 3 year old programme today. We will miss all the wee faces... but look forward to seeing most of them back in September for their preschool year.. To the children moving on to other nurseries we wish you all the best of luck on your preschool journey. 🍀 💕

We had so much fun on our trip to sperrin fun farm today.. alot of tired páistí on the way home.

Baineann na páistí naíscoile an sult as le bheith ag súgradh agus ag foghlaim taobh amuigh gach lá.. .bíonn siad ag déanamh corp aclaíocht, ag bogadh, ag damhsa, ag súgradh ar na rothair agus ag rith thart.

The naíscoil children have great fun playing outside everyday... they be exercising , moving, dancing, playing on the wheeled toys and running around.

'Stay n Play' last week... everyone had great fun.
Our parents came to join the children and take part in our physical activities last Friday 12th May. What a fun day we had.
The Naíscoil Léim an Mhadaidh children were able to show their parents all the fun exercises they do daily and one of the structured physical activities they take part in.

Applicants who applied online via EA Connect will receive an email on Thursday 27 April 2023. If you do not receive an email, please check your junk folder. If you applied using a paper application, you will receive information on your child’s pre-school or primary school place by a letter sent to your home address.
Please note, applicants of underage children and late deferrals will receive their outcome on 13 June 2023.
