Whether you volunteered with PTO, donated items, helped in the classroom, chaperoned a field trip, made copies in the workroom, etc etc... The elementary campus would like to show their appreciation with breakfast on Tuesday in the imaginarium!

The previous Randolph Schools parent run page was deactivated, but there is a new group to help parents and teachers connect to share information and ask questions in one centralized location!

This is a parent-run page and not a subsidiary of RFISD, but a great resource nonetheless! It can be hard to keep up with dozens of different school-related pages, so having a one-stop-shop saves time.

Do you love volunteering and making a difference? We still have a few board positions available that need to be filled.

Please continue reading for a list of available positions and their duties! See something that catches your eye? Message us here or email at [email protected]

Secondary Campus Vice President:
Secondary VP is the first point of contact for admin at our MS/HS campus. You will check in regularly, help out committee members when they are doing an event at the secondary campus, send weekly bulletin updates to admin, etc. This position is a lot of oversight, but is so important to our relationship with the secondary campus!

Secretary:
Secretary is a once a month commitment. They are responsible for collecting board reports from our members and taking/documenting minutes at our meetings.

Spirit Night:
This is an easy-peasy position! Our spirit night chair is responsible for coordinating with local restaurants to set up fundraising nights. This is often done exclusively online or on the phone. The week of the event, the chair will make copies of the flyer to send home with the students.

Event Coordinator:
The biggest responsibility for our event coordinator is helping to facilitate our Turkey Bingo event in the fall at RES and another bingo/basket raffle in the spring at our secondary campus. This board member will help solicit donations from local businesses and help with promotion as well as execution of the event.

05/11/2022

Thank you Randolph Parents for supporting the 1st year of the RoHawk Row project! Please come by on TUESDAY, MAY 17th from 3-4:15 to pick up your signs. Bring them back to us after the summer, and we'll rehang them for a $10 fee. Look for opportunities to purchase new RoHawk Row signs for the upcoming school year soon!

Our Elementary sunshine team put together the sweetest surprise for Randolph Elementary School teachers for Thankful Thursday this week! They had students fill out sticky notes with things they love about their teachers during lunch time and then presented them to teachers! A few tears may have been shed 😍

Did you know that Randolph PTO provides STAAR testing snacks for ALL students from 3rd through 12th grade? This is just a couple of the loads of goodies we purchased, sorted, and delivered to classrooms for tests starting last week and continuing through this week and next! In total we went through:

39 cases of water (45 per case)
12 cases of CheezIts (45 per case)
9 cases of assorted chips (50 per case)
12 cases of mini pretzels (60 per case)
3 cases of Chex mix (45 per case)
12 cases of Goldfish Crackers (45 per case)
10 cases Mott's fruit snacks (90 per case)

3 trips to Sam's Club, 4 total vehicles filled to the brim, 4 wagons and one flatbed cart borrowed from maintenance, and lots of hours of volunteer labor to transport it from Sam's to our campuses and get it sorted by classroom and delivered so that testing days are grab and go for our staff!

The last thing that should derail a test is a rumbly tummy 😊 all secondary students receive 1 snack and 1 bottle of water on each testing day. All STAAR-aged elementary students receive a snack and a bag of fruit snacks for each testing day!

We need you!!

At the heart of everything Randolph PTO accomplishes is our incredible group of board members! We have many positions opening up for the coming year and we need your help to fill them! Please continue reading for a list of available positions and their duties! See something that catches your eye? Message us here or email at [email protected]

Elementary Campus Vice President:
Much like our Secondary VP, our ES VP is a point of contact for admin and other board members for all things elementary. They also oversee workroom volunteers and work closely with admin to maintain a great relationship with our elementary campus!

Secretary:
Secretary is a once a month commitment. They are responsible for collecting board reports from our members and taking/documenting minutes at our meetings.

Book Fair (great for 2 people):
Our book fair chair(s) are responsible for organizing 4 book fairs a year (3 at elementary and one at our secondary campus). This position does not require a regular commitment, but does require a big commitment in the time leading up to and during our book fairs. Book fair chairs work closely with Scholastic and also promotes the book fair in the time leading up to the event. They are usually present during most of the fairs themselves as well. If you have time to spare, it's a really fun gig (and not as scary as it sounds!)

Spirit Night:
This is an easy-peasy position! Our spirit night chair is responsible for coordinating with local restaurants to set up fundraising nights. This is often done exclusively online or on the phone. The week of the event, the chair will make copies of the

Secondary Sunshine Committee (1-2 people):
Teacher Appreciation is the name of the game on the Sunshine committee! The secondary sunshine chair(s) are responsible for ensuring that our secondary campus teachers and staff know how much we appreciate them. This does not require a large in-person commitment, but we do host 2-3 luncheons a year that would require your presence all day. The rest of the year, most of the work can be done at home and delivered to campus (like small treats or gifts every 1-2 months). Teacher Appreciation Week is usually a bit busier for the sunshine committee.

See less
