Nampa High School in the Nampa School District has a full time Choir positioned open. The choir position has a newly formed jazz/show choir that has showed immense talent and dedication as it is a 0 hour class! These kids are really on fire and going to do great things this year. The class load is 4 choirs: treble, bass, select treble, select mixed, the 0 hour jazz/show choir on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 6:30 am, a Popular Music in America music history course, and an adaptive music course. It really is a great schedule and great kids!

Certified general music opening in the Kuna School District (in Kuna Idaho, south of Meridian) INDIAN CREEK ELEMENTARY. This is a K-3 school. The position yis currently part time (for now) but Kuna is a very fast growing district! The music room is fully stocked with Orff mallet instruments (enough for an entire class a large variety of unpitch percussion, many sets of boomwhackers, various drums (large and small) including a class set of hand drums etc. Music K-8, K-3 Game Plan curriculum, K-3 Share the Music CD’s, student textbooks, teacher editions, smart board, sound system, scarves etc. This is a very positive work environment. Excellent, supportive principal and staff! We offer elementary music teacher collaboration time once a month (on a Wednesday during early release). GRANT OPPORTUNITY Expanding Arts Access in Rural Public Schools
A one-time, non-matching grant opportunity for the purpose of providing grants to Idaho rural school districts and rural charter schools to support fine arts, performing arts, and design courses. Applicants may request up to $15,000 to increase access to arts education for learners in rural public schools that otherwise may lack the resources to offer or expand such programs. Funds may be used to purchase equipment, supplies, and curricular materials for arts education.

Early Bird registration ($145.00) is open until January 14th. After that the price goes up. Two books have been on the forefront of music education since Spring 2020; Scott Edgar's , "Music Education and Social, Emotional Learning" and Responsive Classroom for Music, Art, PE and Other Special Areas.
IMEA will offer a NNU book club credit in the Spring semester, $60. Registration is now open, you choose either Elementary (Responsive...) or Secondary (Edgar's......) and order the book of your choice. Three virtual meetings will be held via zoom, dates listed below, 5 PM Pacific/6 PM Mountain. Written option is available if you can't make the zoom.
