Among many other "rules" in makeup, one you might hear is "don't do a bold lip with a dramatic eye". Yeah yeah I do what I want.
Yesterday was a cut crease kind of day. And you can bet your buns I wore this full face to the gym and killed my workout. My chest is super sore today! Happy Friday!
In no way am I about to shame anyone who has gotten medical procedures for weight loss. Nor would I shame or dis professionals that provide these types of services. What I wanted to demonstrate with this post is the results from two options: The surgical procedure (8 week results) leaves you with zero education on how to maintain the results you achieve. There is zero change in overall health. Zero guidance on an exercise program and proper movement to ensure safety when engaging in exercise. However, the cost is comparable to hiring a health and fitness professional.
The other option: Hard work and dedication (12 week results at 2x week). You learn a new way of life ensuring forever results. You improve your overall health in every area. You are guided step by step through an exercise program that corrects movement patterns and muscle imbalances keeping you injury free. For a lifetime of activity at any level of intensity!
So before you look into short cuts, do yourself and your body a favor and look into professionals that specialize in lifestyle changes and improvement of quality of health.

I am working on an additional certification through NASM! Though I am confident in my current abilities in this area of training. I want the piece of paper to make it official. Anyone who has trained with me knows my attention to movement and correct form. So I am excited to announce the Corrective Exercise Specialization is the newest addition to my continuing education courses. Last March I received my Performance Enhancement Specialization cert. and have enjoyed sharing my knowledge with those in need of guidance in the sea of information overload.
That's what I love about fitness and the human body; there's always room to know more and to be better. So stay tuned for the next development in Statement Looks! Where I help you "become the Statement you want to make".

I couldn't be happier with the effort these two have put in over the course of their program! These photos are day 1 vs. Now. A total of 9 months of workouts at 3x week for 1 hr. They follow a flexible diet that includes any and all foods of their choice staying within the parameters I customized for their bodies and goals. At 58 years old and zero background in exercise they have given it 150% and the result is a body they had hoped for! So start now and see where you are in 9 months!

2 things I hate that I'm about to do: 1.) post an excessively long caption. 2.) I'm not one to post pictures of my lower body in such a way so let me explain: these two pictures were taken just a few minutes apart. I want to show you what a lot of online & social media fitness girls/fitness pages are guilty of. They post misleading photos to sell "booty programs" to sell products, to sell their "expertise". I'm here to tell you to not believe everything you see. Between the photoshop, posing techniques ect. it can make you feel like you're not progressing. Think if I were to make the caption of this photo: "my 6 week transformation" I don't know about you, but for ME I would be greatly discouraged because I know how long it's taken me to build my lower body.
Long story short- the internet, especially social media is an illusion. Don't let it get into your head and let it effect the way you see yourself. Perhaps this post is more for me than for any of you but I felt it had to be said✊

This week's weather calls for wild hair ☔️☁️ what's your favorite way to wear your hair and makeup when the weather is set on messing with your glam?
From the smile they give when they look in the mirror to the jumps for joy when they hit a new fitness goal or the laughs and smiles we share while we're together for that hour. These are the moments I live for in my business. These are the things that keep me going when it feels like I'm failing. This is what success is. 💚💛💚💛
A big congratulations to this amazing couple! For those of you who don't know their story; they are almost 60 years old and have zero experience with exercise. Up until now the main priority for them was to get lean and build some strength due to discomfort and pain brought on over the years.
You'll notice posture was something that needed correcting and we were able to achieve that! Their biggest challenge has been eating (enough) and drinking enough water. Therefore those are MY biggest challenges. Stay tuned to see what goals we smash next 👊

This awesome couple are 58 yrs.old and have zero background in working out. I train them together which offers it's own set of challenges but the way I approached this is the same way I do with everyone else.
