Flashback Friday to almost 2 years ago (1 day off) to one of Women's Council of Entrepreneurs' first Brain Brew Meetups! ☕🤝 Our Brain Brews were designed to be a safe place for women entrepreneurs to ask questions and receive guidance from each other. It eventually evolved into Mentor Panels where women could ask a panel of industry experts questions and they could bounce ideas off of each other.
It is amazing how much your business evolves throughout the years! Isn't it?! And COVID really threw a stick in the spokes for WCE. We immediately had halt all in-person events which is the main service we provided for our members! In the last 7 months we have adapted and adjusted and are finding ways to keep going with our mission of promoting, motivating, and educating female entrepreneurs. It is hard, there are moments we want throw in the towel, and we're still trying to find our space in this new COVID world, but we are so proud of where we are. We sure miss our in-person events though! ✨💕
How has your business evolved over the years? Has COVID affected your business in anyway? Let us know below? ✨

This week's #TuesdayTips is a Quick Tip!! 📝
✨ Make sure your Instagram Bio Link is working and up-to-date. You don't want your potential clients being led to a broken link or an outdated blog post! We actually highly recommend linktree especially if you have several links you use for your business. This way you won't need to change your Bio according to the call of action you have on your post! It is a major time saver. But, of course if you decide to use linktree regularly check those links too!!
You can go to WCE's Instagram to see what linktree is all about! https://www.instagram.com/wearewce/
Just follow the link in our Bio to see it and follow us while you're over there if you don't already! 😉
We hope everyone is having a great Tuesday!! 💕

✨Meet WCE's speaker for our October Workshop~How to create professional Videos with your Smartphone Aja Vickers of Aja Vickers Global Media!
"Hi! My name is Aja Vickers and here's a little bit more about me:
I've spent nearly 15 years creating compelling visual content for network television, businesses, non-profits, and artists. I started shooting, editing, writing, and producing back in 2006 when I got my first job as a reporter working for TV 30 News near the San Francisco Bay Area. I then moved on to become the Bureau Chief for the NBC affiliate KSNG out in Garden City, Kansas. After that I moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma and worked for the NBC affiliate KJRH. From politics to crime, sports to tornadoes… you name it, I’ve shot it.
After experiencing all aspects of broadcast news I decided I wanted to start my own production company and began the journey to make it a reality. I’ve honed my skills throughout the years by producing countless videos in every type of genre and now I'm looking forward to sharing my knowledge with those looking to create their own videos. See you soon!"
✨ Please join WCE and Aja at the workshop on October 8th. You can register here:

Small Businesses are the ❤️ of America. They are what make our small towns unique, they humanize our larger cities and give them personalities and they make suburbia feel less “cookie cutter”. These are the places that "know your name", that literally do a happy 💃💃 when you make a purchase and they pour their ❤ and souls into making their customers happy!
But....Small Businesses need our support to survive. They need us to make a choice to support them and not just take the easy way with a corporation. We all can help, we all can do our part and it must start with US. #savesmallbusiness
Please take a min to SHOP A SMALL BUSINESS. Take a minute to support a business owner and help keep our small businesses alive and thriving. #ShopaSmallBusiness
Check out these small businesses from the comfort of your home and if you find something you like, please support and shop. At the very least, please share this website so we can continue to support our SMALL BUSINESS owners!

Why did we chose to support CASA Advocates and their CASA Superhero Run?? Here is why.......
Last year in Montgomery County:
• 815 children were in CPS Care
• 60% were of those children were under the age of 5
Who helped them??
•325 CASA Advocates served 100% of those kids in care!!
Unfortunately, about 6 children enter foster care in Montgomery County EACH WEEK! So, CASA continues to need our support!
To join WCE's race team or to donate to CASA please go here:
Thank you and we hope you all are having a fantastic weekend!! ✨

A background of Women’s Council of Entrepreneurs
WCE was co-founded by Ali Everhard and Melissa Rouswell, serial entrepreneurs who discovered a need for a group that supported women entrepreneurs as they started and developed successful businesses. The idea for a group began as the two friends were talking about being entrepreneurs and their own personal ups and downs in their journeys. Melissa's background is in direct sales where she had support from a corporate office as well as the other consultants in the company who would answer questions, give ideas and listen when things didn't go as planned, and of course celebrate when things were a huge success. They realized this was something that Ali as a photographer, graphic designer and artist didn't have as a solo entrepreneur and really needed at times as she felt more alone in her journey. They started looking and found there were a lot of networking groups but not really any groups just for supporting entrepreneurs especially those starting out. So they set about to create a community where women could ask questions, learn ways to improve their business, get advice, collaborate, and stay inspired and passionate about their businesses. The focus of the group is on building relationships with other women entrepreneurs so that we are a strong community of successful women.
~Ali Everhard has been a photographer and graphic designer with Studio 256 since 2004. Ali and her husband create and design games for the whole family at Howdowdownson. She has lived in The Woodlands with her family for 9 years.
~Melissa Cartusciello Rouswell has been a leader with Traveling Vineyard for over 5 years and is a serial entrepreneur who has owned several small businesses in The Woodlands area. She is a proud Aggie and has been in the Houston area for over 20 years.
