Books are a great way to help children feel a sense of belongingness, so we’re sharing some of our favorite classroom reading.
Young children are still developing their sense of self, which is why it’s important for them to see people who look like them in books, images and toys. It’s also important to see a variety of other people so children can learn to appreciate those who are different. https://bit.ly/3Dx8zNo
Children are constantly watching and learning from what we do all day, even while we’re working. And sometimes they have very unique perspectives on what “working” means! What does your child think your job is? Comment below to share, and Happy Working Parents Day!
Follow along as we honor Hispanic and Latin American Heritage Month and the diverse cultures and contributions of Latin and Hispanic Americans through books, music and art. Turn up the tunes with our Harmony & Heart® classroom music like “Usagi Usagi” (Japan) and “Dipidu” (Uganda).🎶 An important part of belongingness is learning to appreciate and include people who are different from you, and music is an easy—and super fun—way to explore other cultures. https://bit.ly/3La4gci

With a new school year kicking off, getting back into the swing of things can be hard — especially in the mornings.
A good routine can help make starting the day happier for the whole family. Try these four, easy-to-incorporate tips from a mom of three and start shaping the right routine for you.
1. Prepare as much as possible the night before
The fewer tasks you leave until the morning the better. Start by laying out clothes for the next day and taking care of any necessary ironing. Pack lunches, diaper bags and backpacks and leave them by the door so you don’t forget anything on your way out. Make a checklist of any must-haves for the next day and post it on the door as one final reminder.
2. Wake up 15 to 30 minutes earlier
A little extra time can make a huge difference. Help everyone feel less rushed and more relaxed by adjusting your alarm time and giving yourself a buffer to get everything done before you head out for the day.
3. Treat yourself
Do something nice for yourself in the morning. Make a nice breakfast, or give yourself some quiet time on the couch, but whatever it is, stick to it — it’ll help motivate you to wake up early and get the day going.
4. Take care of you
Staying active helps you sleep better, eat better and wake up more easily. Pick days during the week that you can consistently commit to exercising and protect that time. No one’s saying it’s easy, but you’ll feel more energized in everything else you do.
Not every day is going to be perfect, but with these tips, you’ll ease into the new school year schedule in no time. https://bit.ly/3zNyFI6
