Nature microscopic experimentation! We have been having the most beautiful days!!! Go outside to explore nature! Collect as many samples as possible (Flowers, leaves, dead bugs, etc.), bring them inside and watch them, but really watch them! Create a simple report. How many patterns did you find? How many colors do you really see? Nature is amazing and when you look closely you can see an array of colors, shapes, and patterns that sometimes you forget to notice. If you have a magnifying glass or even a microscope do some further studying! Science is beautiful, engaging, and incredible fun!!!

Who plans to check out tonight’s Pink Supermoon?! 🌕
“We saw a supermoon in March, and we’ll see another supermoon in May. However, April’s supermoon is going to outshine them both. The Pink Moon will be the closest full moon to Earth. Therefore, it’s going to be the largest full moon we’ll see all year.”
yahoo.com March is over (finally!), and with April comes the biggest, brightest supermoon of the year—the Pink Supermoon. Here's what that means and when you can see it.
Go outside and test Newton's laws with "INERTIA". Grab a bucket and fill it out with water half way! Go outside and have the kids spin the bucket several times. The water should not spill out. Why? Because inertia says that a body or mass will continue to move in the same direction with the same speed unless there is a change of direction or speed. So make sure the kids keep spinning the bucket at the same speed! This is such a fun way to learn physics, enjoy the weather, and maybe get wet in the process!!! Don't forget to post your experimental success or failure!

Today's experiment idea! Make boats with Al foil, decorate them! If you have any plaster and foam beads or packing peanuts you can build the body using a mix of those. That is messy but fun!!! Once ready go outside and test in big buckets with water. You can try adding salt or sugar to increase bouyancy. If you have a big fan place it at one end of the bucket to help with movement and make it extra FUN!!! Don't forget to post your pictures and videos for prizes and gift certificates!
[03/24/20] Dear parents, remember that we are posting experiment ideas for you to try at home. Don't forget to post your pictures! We will be giving out prizes and gift certificates to the best ones!!!

We know this event is taking place in a bar and children cannot attend, but we have proudly donated to this event and would like to personally encourage anyone to please take the time to assist this family. Many continued thoughts and prayers to the Cheatham family!
