Happy New Year TWHS Band & Guard! 🎉🏳️🎶
All are encouraged to attend our first 2025 parent meeting this coming Thursday, 1/16.
We’ll be diving into the spring concert season (including sectionals, solo contest, and UIL competitions), fundraising opportunities, all things winter guard, student audition successes, 2025-2026 Booster Board openings, and even a preview of dates for next year’s marching season!
Join us to catch up on all you need to know about your student’s spring experience in band and guard. We’ll see you there!
**Plan to arrive a little early and expect extra traffic - there’s a theater performance that evening as well.

On the 12th day of Christmas, the TWHS Band & Guard gave to me:
Mr. Frederick, Mr. Stickley, Mr. Salmon, Mrs. Robbins, and our entire support staff of educators and industry experts. There aren’t enough gifts, recognition, or praise to adequately express our gratitude for your hard work, vision, care, commitment, and dedication to the students and overarching mission of the TWHS Band & Guard.
We hope you’ve loved a look back at our fall season! What additional highlights would YOU still like to revisit?

It was a busy and festive day for our tuba and euphonium players! First, a Tuba Christmas concert at Market Street led by the Sam Houston State University low brass faculty. An annual tradition since 1972, this year’s ensemble was comprised of players aged 11 to 72 years young!
Then, a rewarding afternoon serving residents of The Forum through the joy of music, led by Bud Johnson. Nothing says Merry Christmas like low brass carols!
Current and alumni students pictured at The Forum:
Lucy Long
Nora Hiemer
Caleb Batista
Andrew Rodgers
Chet Brown
Ben Lussier
Chris Spark
Gabe Nino
And special appearance by TWHS bagpiper Kyle!
