First weekend back to teaching after break. We are social distancing, wearing masks, taking temperatures and washing hands lots! Excited to keep teaching the art of making really good bread, even if it looks slightly different than before. @ Knead and Know
Come join me for a virtual class!!
Hi friends! I wanted to pop in and let you know about a virtual baking workshop I'm hosting this coming Thursday, April 9! My friend Melinda (Knead and Know) teaches artisan bread classes at her Leesburg, VA-based studio, and she'll be tuning in LIVE from her home via Zoom for a pizza dough workshop! I hosted a gardening workshop last night, and it was SO informative and fun! I hadn't realized how much I missed "social" interaction! If you're interested, you can find all the info here (all the profits are going to a local food bank!): www.adailygathering.bigcartel.com

Come join A Daily Something and I for a virtual workshop! All proceeds go to charity.
ANNOUNCING A Gathering Series: A Daily Something [Virtual] Chats & Workshops (a fundraiser). With COVID-19 turning into a pandemic and requiring that we all stay home and practice social distancing, I want to help in some way. I want to raise funds for those most at need, those without income, those without food, those even without the security of a home. And I want to – in some way – practice togetherness while we’re apart, and help us do more intentional and beautiful things at home.
And thus, this series was born. Every Tuesday we'll have an IG LIVE chat with a special guest and topic. Every Thursday we'll have a Zoom workshop with a special guest instructor and topic, with a minimum donation of $10. All profits will be donated to a local non-profit providing relief to those impacted by COVID-19. You can read ALL the details by clicking on the link in my profile.
Here are the events currently on the calendar:
3/31: IG LIVE with Kelly Jenkins CPM, LM of Blue Ridge Birth to chat all things birth & babies (and we will talk about whether you should plan an out of hospital birth).
4/2: ZOOM WORKSHOP with Emma & Mary of Lady Farmer to learn about Victory Gardening (and so much more).
4/7: IG LIVE with Julie of It's Julien to chat about spring closets (and dressing to be productive at home).
4/9: ZOOM WORKSHOP with Melinda of Knead and Know to learn about making really great bread at home, and make a versatile dough together.
TO REGISTER AND FOR MORE INFORMATION, HEAD TO THE LINK IN THE COMMENTS.
I need your help! PLEASE help me spread the word about this important series and fundraiser. Tag your friends and family who might benefit from this unique way of "doing community.” Share it to your stories. Let's break the internet!
XOXOXOXOX,
REBECCA

Excited to announce that my custom Knead and Know aprons from are now available on my website! I came across S&R while I was in Vancouver and was so impressed with the design and quality of their aprons I just knew I needed them for my students! As someone who wears an apron a lot for baking the cross body design makes for easy wearing plus they are super easy to wash with minimal fuss! Link in profile to shop now 👍🏻

Late night getting ready for two bread 101 classes this weekend! But wishing I had a cream puff from my kids classes a couple of weeks ago!
B R E A D // Often I get asked "do you just have a simple bread recipe" - to which I reply "well...sort of but not really." If I'm looking for something to make toast with, I love my seeded country loaf but not everyone loves such a hearty bread for say a sandwich. So I've been working on different recipes for more of an "everyday" bread! This is the first of a few I'm trying out, I'm calling it a rustic country loaf. What other types of breads do you consider more everyday that you would like to see a recipe for?? I'll be testing out recipes and hopefully *fingers crossed* get a blog site up soon to post!
