Oliver has been at Primrose since last year and he will be 2 in December! In our spare time, we love to go on walks, visit local businesses, play soccer in the backyard, and explore the Temple-Belton area! Oliver in particular enjoys dancing to music, books, chatting with anyone who will listen, and kicking the soccer ball around with mom and dad. He has grown and developed so much since being at Primrose and it has been a great joy to see how much fun he has with his friends and teachers. We can’t wait to see how he grows in the years to come!

Students, were asked what does your cloud look like?
Decorations are showing up and pumpkin spice is in the air! While this time of year can be exciting for a child, it can also be a little scary, especially for little ones under age 5. Check out these tips that may help your child (and you) make the most out of the season.
🎃 Let Your Child Pick Their Costume: When a child gets to choose their Halloween costume, they're likely to be more comfortable and excited. Let them try their costume on a few days in advance to get comfortable so day-of can be focused on having fun!
👻 Establish Real vs. Make-Believe: Embrace their imagination while teaching them the difference between make-believe and reality. Help your little one understand that even dressed up in a costume, people are still the same as before. You can use the costume to build a story with your child: What would your character do? What would they say? Where would they go?
🔮 Answer Questions Honestly: There's a lot to be curious about this time of year. It’s common for children to see things that might be hard to understand at their age, such as haunted house decorations or a mummy costume. Answer their questions truthfully while reassuring them it's only pretend and sometimes people think it’s fun to be a little scared.
🪄 Keep Things Safe & Have Fun: There’s no reason why parties or events can’t take place during the day when they’ll be less scary and safer in terms of visibility and traffic. Let your child take the lead, whether that's visiting every house in the neighborhood or just walking down the street. The key is that they enjoy the fun and fantasy, without the fright.
Save these for later and share them with a friend!
This month we are celebrating the Ramirez Family!

Last night’s staff meeting trained our teachers in fire safety. We learned about different types of fires, fire extinguishers and determining factors that will result in a fight or flee response. After, all of our teachers put out a fire using the P.A.S.S. method. Pull the pin, Aim low, Squeeze and Sweep. Thank you Temple Fire & Rescue for make sure all our staff is educated so we can keep all our babies safe.
Today in Toddlers for their morning circle time, noggin joggin and wonder time 1, our teachers talked about how to calm down and respect others feelings. Then they read “Craddle Me“ by Debby Slier about feelings and expressions. We then encouraged the children to imitate the expressions.
For Project Time, our Pre-Kindergarten A Class discussed textures. We used stamp pads to put our fingerprints on our "All About Me" worksheet. Next we used magnifying glasses to look at the details of our fingerprints. We learned that everyone has a unique set of fingerprints made of different patterns! We also discussed the similarities and differences we saw in our fingerprints. We learned that having unique traits like fingerprints are part of what makes us special.
Yesterday, our after school Explorers class did their start of the school year bus drills! They did a fantastic job! We went over bus safety, bus rules and all the bus exits.
Celebrating what makes our families special is one of the many ways we foster belongingness at Primrose. 🎉 Primrose schools invite their families to fill out an Introductions Questionnaire that helps teachers learn more about what's important to them. This special information is incorporated in the classroom throughout the year. What makes your family special? Share it with us in the comments!
