FSU Housing

I am looking for a sublease for my room for the spring and summer semester. It's a three bedroom, two bathroom apartment called The Hub on Ocala road. It's very affordable -- only about $375 a month plus utilities. If you are a graduate student looking to live with two other graduate students, this would be a perfect opportunity! Anyone is welcome. Feel free to message me if you are interested or have any questions.
We have a 4 bedroom 2 bath home just south of the FSU Football stadium. Our son has graduated, and we are ready to provide housing to new group of students. We seek a "group", not individual students. One single lease with one family taking the lead to handle coordination of lease ex*****on, funds transfer, rent payment, et al.
Our home is on a giant lot
Huge screened porch
Huge fenced yard
Large carport with a large locking exterior "closet" with shelving. Room for bikes, suitcases, et al.
4 bedrooms (1 master bedroom) of differing sizes to match individual family' budgets within your group
2 bathrooms. 1 in the Master bedroom.
As of 2016 new HVAC system, new permitted electric, new permitted roof, new fixtures, new blinds, paint, et al.
Hardwood flooring.
Living Room, Dining Room, Family Room, attached screened porch, kitchen, 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, laundry room.
Walk, bike, or take the bus directly to campus.
Home is furnished in the common areas. Beds are not included.
Kitchen is stocked with appliances, silverware, et al. Purchased new over the past 3 years.
Home has had pest control service every month. This is a big deal with student housing.
Historically, we have rented rooms to our son's local friends that went to FSU. Typically, rents were approximately $300 for the small 7 x 10 bedroom (it does have a closet), $495 for each of the mid-sized bedrooms, and $650 for the master. Master has a walk in closet, it's own bathroom, and a large walk in tub with a shower head on the wall. Students in the other three bedrooms typically share the other bath due to its proximity to the bedrooms. But that is entirely up to you...since we are renting the house, not individual rooms.
Utilities plus the other monthly expenses (as noted below) will remain in our names, but are the responsibility of the students. Average utilities including internet, pest control, lawn care run about $100 per month per student. We will invoice monthly for all items on a Statement.
Property is available to be viewed prior to Thanksgiving. We will reduce the asking rent to $1850 (from $1940) if we can secure a tenant promptly. We would like to secure a tenant group for the Spring term (2021) through the summer of 2022.
With that said, my husband and I are realtors. We manage both our properties, and our client's properties for a living. But this is OUR home. Rest assured, we will take care of our your kids just like we took care of our son and his friends while they lived in the home.
Please see the attached photos. Please call my husband Brian at 954-470-3444 to discuss details.

Hey guys!!
My roommate and I are graduating May 1st and are looking for two people to sublease each of our rooms starting May 4th, 2020. We have a townhome in the Hamptons on High. It’s a 4 /4 with a big living room & kitchen and two storage closets aside from the closet in your room. It’s pretty quiet and right off Tennessee street so its super close to things, about a 5-10 drive to campus depending on where you’re going. The price is usually $500 a month but we will give it to you $400 a month! And you just need to pay your utilities which is under a $100 each, and your internet. The lease ends July 31stso you have a good amount of time here! If you’re interested, please direct message me and we can talk details!

Can I ask you a general question? My daughter is basically a loner. She has some friends but is very stand-offish. I am hoping college will give her a chance to get to know more people. That being the case, for a kid like mine, are there any living options at FSU that you think
would be best for sort of forcing her into engaging with others? I think single rooms are rare for freshmen, but I also tend to think they aren't a good choice for someone who isn't naturally a friend-maker. Would a triple be good? A suite-style at Dorman or Azalea? Her housing number is around 1400 so I think she'll have at least a few options to choose from. I welcome your thoughts. Thanks.
Can someone tell me the earliest date students can move into their dorm for fall? Thanks!
Why do you make students pack up and be out the same week as finals. You couldn’t give them a few extra days? My daughter’s last final is next Friday. 😡
Are there any options, or a process to follow for returning students who want to stay on campus, but have been closed out of the halls? We paid our deposit well in advance. My student’s date finally rolled around and she can’t find a spot, even after removing her roomate request. What are her options? Thanks!
