We know health care providers need certifications. We have limited our class size to 6 and added more classes. Additionally, there is always the online option for CPR, BLS, ACLS, PALS and IV Therapy with a 1:1 skills check.

Last year, hundreds of citizens came to Press The Chest to get trained in CPR. Press the Chest is an annual event that focuses on the importance of providing the community with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to perform CPR.Since 2010, Leon County EMS has trained over 7,000 people with hands-on instruction on how to do CPR correctly.

at Press The Chest - a FREE CPR training event that teaches new recommendations for the CPR procedure, how exactly to perform CPR and how to use an AED. Each participant of “Press the Chest” will receive an American Heart Association CPR Anytime kit, which contains a CPR manikin, DVD and educational materials and supplies. Face painting will be on site, Leon County EMS experts will host a child safety seat checkpoint, Leon Lifesaver will teach children about calling 9-1-1 and first responders from the Leon County Sheriff's Office, Capital Regional Medical Center, Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare, City of Tallahassee Police Department and others public safety agencies will be in attendance.
