ACS unequivocally supports FSU BLSA in the fight against racial injustice. Black Americans have faced oppression in the form of police brutality for far too long. The legal community is facing a time when we must seriously reconsider our institutions and how they perpetuate systemic violence against the black community. Only when these institutions, which create and administer our laws, hear our voice, will we bring lasting change. As a legal community, we must uphold the values of the Constitution which grants equal protections to all under the law. In doing so, we as a community must speak out and support our fellow Black Americans in any way we can.

Bob Rackleff will be at FSU College of Law on November 12th for a voting rights event. (Details to follow soon!) In the meantime, you can see him on MSNBC this Sunday from 5-6 pm discussing current attempts to disenfranchise voters in Florida.
Also, check out the work he and volunteers have been doing with the Big Bend Voting Rights Projects!
SUNDAY AT 5 PM: Huge news: our own Bob Rackleff will be on MSNBC’s “PoliticsNation with Al Sharpton” show airing 5-6 pm this Sunday Sept 8 — so Bob will have a grand opportunity to brag about the great work you volunteers have done to register voters.
He says: I’ll be in a studio here in town appearing with one of the ACLU lawyers, Julie Ebenstein, suing the state to invalidate the Republican poll tax. I’ve been told that we’ll appear sometime in the second half of the show. Wish me luck!
