Thank you Synapse Florida, stakeholders and leaders in our community and friends from Pensacola and Jacksonville who convened yesterday morning to discuss the strengths, assets and challenges of North Florida's entrepreneurial ecosystems. Thank you, Achieving the Dream for your support of Tallahassee Community College and the TCC Center for Innovation. In collaboration with the U.S. Small Business Administration and Synapse Florida, we're now able to provide more aid to small businesses in Tallahassee and surrounding communities.

TCC Center for Innovation helps small businesses rebound Despite the challenges of the pandemic, small companies in the Big Bend are thriving thanks to new partnerships designed to help veteran-owned, minority-owned and women-owned businesses in our community.

We are excited to host Children's Week and the Celebration of the Hands in the TCC Center for Innovation, April 5-9. Visit the Center and immerse yourself in this creative exhibition. Handmade artwork produced by children from across the State is prominently featured in this incredible display.

The Center is open to the public from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm for viewing of the display.

Thank you to The Institute for Nonprofit Innovation and Excellence for their support in hosting the exhibit and to this year's Celebration of the Hands Partner, Sunshine Health, for their generous support.

We are are thrilled to announce a new Tallahassee location for Celebration of the Hands! Please join us at the TCC Center for Innovation and The Institute for Nonprofit Innovation and Excellence to see children's magnificent hand artwork from all across the state, Monday, April 5 to Friday, April 16. This stunning display will be fully accessible for visitors and the public to view Monday to Friday, from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Earlier today, we celebrated Impact Foods with our friends Tallahassee Downtown, TalChamber, Capital City Chamber Of Commerce, Big Bend Minority Chamber of Commerce, City of Tallahassee, FL, Leon County, Office of the Mayor - Tallahassee, FL, Tallahassee-Leon County Office of Economic Vitality and the Apalachee Regional Planning Council. We appreciate your support of Impact Foods and thank you for joining us at the Center for a ceremonial ribbon-cutting.

We look forward to supporting more small businesses in our community through collaboration with our partners and pooling of our collective resources. If today is an indication of what we can accomplish together, then the future if bright!

It may not look like much, but adding three parking spaces downtown - with the option for valet - is a needed and much appreciated accommodation. Thank you, City of Tallahassee, FL for your help in reducing barriers to access our downtown district.

In collaboration with our friends at Embarc Collective Tampa Bay, we recently hosted the Florida Alliance to End Human Trafficking, The Workmans and numerous leaders from around the State committed to helping others become aware of the tragedy of human trafficking and putting an end to the epidemic of exploitation.

Sadly, Florida ranks 3rd in the nation in human trafficking cases reported. Human traffickers use force, fraud or coercion to control their victims. Every year, millions of men, women and children are trafficked worldwide. We're in it to END IT.
