The Oklahoma State University Chapter of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers consist of men and women majoring in Fire Protection & Safety Technology at OSU.

Last nights meeting with Jon Roberts from UL was great! He spoke about the differences in fire walls and barriers and how to research code specifications for each type. Thank you for coming!
Excellent presentation from our guest speaker and past President, Ashley Duncan. She spoke about how to perform a code analysis from a building code and life safety standpoint. Also the comparisons and differences between NFPA 101 vs. IBC. Thank you again for coming to share with us!
Great first meeting last night with our guest speaker Mark Kirk to speak about information regarding the paths to licensure in fire protection engineering. Thanks to all the students for coming out and listening!

Next Wednesday, October the 28th, Firehouse Subs on 6th street will be hosting a fundraiser for the Fire Protection Society. It will be held from 5:00- 8:00 PM and they will donate 10% of sales to the fire protection society. Come out to support our fellow students, enjoy some food & good company.
The OSU Fire Protection Society is raffling three club level tickets (Valued at $500 each) to the November 7 football game against TCU. Included in the raffle is a hotel room at the Wyndham Garden in Stillwater, OK and transportation to the game from the hotel on the American LaFrance fire engine. 1,000 tickets will be offered at $25 each or five for $100. The drawing will be on October 24 during the homecoming festivities. The club level tickets were donated to the Fire Protection Society by Dr. Lee Bird, VP Student Affairs to assist in repair/construction of a garage to house the Fire Protection Society's two fire engines, the American LaFrance and the Ahrens-Fox.

Andy McPherson (OSU FPST Alumni) will be coming to speak about his experience as a fire protection engineer for Guernsey as well as opening up his own consulting firm, Invictus Engineering Construction Services Inc.
