PVHS 2013 Chesapeake Challenge
Park View Marching Band had a great season. If you couldn't make it out to see one of their shows here is their performance at Towson University on Oct 19th. Can't wait to see their show next season. This past weekend Park View competed in the USBands Chesapeake Challenge. They had an incredible show...with a score of 82.288, they came in 2nd place out of 8 bands! We missed 1st by ONLY 0.162 points and beat 3rd place by over 4 points! We also won the award for Best Music. Mrs. Mahaffey and the entire Marching Band should be proud of this weekend's show.
Our last competition of the year is this coming weekend, Oct 26, at Reservoir High School (Fulton, MD). Park View performs at 6pm.

Park View was 1st place in our group at the Herndon High School competition yesterday with a score of 74.35, winning Best Music, Best Guard, Best Visual, and Best Effect. We beat Osborne by over 2 points and Thomas Edison by more than 4 points.

The 2nd competition of the season is this Saturday, Sep 28th. Park View will be competing at 11:45am at Herndon High School. Below is a link to the full show schedule. I know we will have another stellar show this weekend!!! I will post results as soon as I have them.

Way to go Park View marching band! At the USBands Northern Virginia Showcase yesterday, they received the highest score of all the bands competing! They sounded incredibly good. It was an indoor competition which was different.

Band Aides Board: 4th Annual USBands Competition Sept. 21st
The band will be marching this Friday night at Park View vs Loudoun County football game. Also there are still a few volunteer slots open for the USBands competition that we are hosting this Saturday, Sep 21. If you are in the area, we could use your help. The competition is a huge fundraising opportunity for the band.

Sign up to help Park View Band's biggest event! More than 50 ADULT volunteers are needed to help run the 4th Annual USBands Competition hosted at PVHS. This sign up is for adult positions only. Students are asked to sign up in the band room.

Band / USBands Competition
On Saturday Sep 21, Park View is hosting the Northern Virginia Regional Marching Showcase of Bands. 16 schools will be competing. This is a major fundraiser for the Marching Band. Save the date on your calendars. More info coming soon.
