Have you heard? Pinkman Academy is now home to TWO softball pitching instructors! Help us extend a warm welcome to Coach Jess Rinehold, who is available for softball pitching lessons effective immediately.
Coach Jess played three years of softball at Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania before transferringto Florida Atlantic University for her final year. She graduated from FAU with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, then went on to serve as Softball Graduate Assistant at Kansas Wesleyan University. Her main focus was pitching and recruiting for the university. She graduated with her MBA in 2017 and has since moved to the DC area for work.

Congratulations to Kaidyn for her 10-strikeout shutout this past weekend! Kaidyn has been working with Coach Jordan since August 2021 and has significantly increased her speed, pitch variety, and body control - very important when you are 6' tall at only 14 years old!
Coach Jeff's Recommendations for Core & Lower Back Stability
To Everyone Who Throws a Ball (Also known as “Everyone”):
Here’s Coach Jeff showing some exercises to train core stability abdominal muscles and work on lower back stability. These are great exercises for pitchers learning to enhance the deceleration in their throwing motion.

Here are Kieran and Coach Christian working on the front side. Kieran is practicing keeping his throwing arm in a good position at foot strike, maintaining a strong front leg to brace, as well as a good layback of the throwing hand.

Congratulations to 8-year-old Theodore on a HUGE night in the HitTrax cage!! He was a little skittish at the plate when he started lessons two months ago, but with consistent hard work, he has become a .333 hitter with a .583 hard hit average. He got to ring our PR bell 🔔 four times last night for distance and velocity!

Noah Reacts to the Whopping 37/37 😂
This video sounds scripted, but it wasn’t 😂 Noah couldn’t believe his eyes when he was presented with a 37”, 37 oz. Axe Bat speed trainer today. For older athletes, it can be used at its full length to challenge a quick barrel to the ball. For younger players, it can be held in the middle (similar to a PVC pipe) to force a shorter bat path.
