December is a very different month in the Studio!

The week of December 14th Students will have their second Master Class of the year. These classes take place of regularly scheduled Private Lessons. We are looking forward to Student performances of Christmas music and several Christmas themed learning activities.

In light of Christmas and New Years the Studio will be CLOSED from December 22nd-January 3rd.

Fall Registration for the 2020-2021 year will be open starting today with expanded days and times for this upcoming year. We are excited about the new additions coming to the Studio for this upcoming year-Master Classes, an additional Recital and the NFMC Festival. This is going to be a great year at Springboro Piano Studio!

Tomorrow- June 2nd- is the day! We are excited to be again resuming in-studio lessons! Not only will we be welcoming students back into our Studio but we are excited to do so under the NEW name of Springboro Piano Studio!

As a piano teacher we have the unique gift of being by a child's side through many years and milestones of their lives. One of the most bitter-sweet being that of their high-school graduation. It seems like only yesterday this poised, talented and sweet young lady was just an elementary piano student. Today she graduates from Springboro High School and is starting out on a new adventure with the love of music by her side. We wish you all the best on your journey, may you always live like music.

A HUGE congratulations to Alexandra B. and Lauren R. who participated in the Springboro School District OMEA Piano Solo Adjudication this weekend. Your dedication to your music craft and seeking out your own opportunities to push yourself and become more well rounded musicians is exemplary and inspirational. It was a pleasure to work beside you for this event and we all celebrate in your success.

Reminder: Upcoming Group Make-up for students affected by the teacher illness in October is scheduled for January 3rd from 5:30-6:30. If you have contacted the studio over Christmas break your registration has been recorded. The studio is closed for regular lessons/correspondence until January 8th. So proud of our students who raised $200 for the Hurricane Harvey Practice-a-Thon! Donations to The American Red Cross and the Houston Humane Society were made on their behalf. Music surely has the power to change the world in a very tangible way!

Piano Families: Be on the lookout for information coming out next week regarding a Practice-A-Thon for Harvey Relief efforts. Funds raised will be split between the American Red Cross and the Houston Humane Society.

Welcome to a new studio year! The 2017-2018 School Session year starts today! Looking forward to:
30 Piece Challenge, Circle of 5ths Challenge, Piano Explorer Magazine, new iPad games, Recitals, National Guild Auditions and BEAUTIFUL music. Excited to see all the progress students will make this year as they reach deep inside themselves.

Our piano recital will be held tomorrow, Sunday, April 30th at 2:00 pm at the First United Methodist Church in Springboro. Students playing from music will need to remember to bring their score with them. We are looking forward to a lovely afternoon of music brought to us by our talented and hard working students!
