In the world of rotary-wing aviation, there are required standards that must be met, leaving no room for mediocrity or error.
Operating as usual
The date has been set for John Stewart’s Celebration of Life.
Please message or email me for details.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear friend, John Stewart. John touched so many peoples lives and although his life ended before we were ready, we are thankful for the joy and laughter he brought us all. John was a friend to everyone he met and made an impression on each of us. He was an integral part of our aviation and barbecue communities and it will never be the same without him. Godspeed John. Until we meet again!
Time to go home.
Taking 121RG to Louisiana for a static display.
It’s not very often you get to meet with customers located 1300 miles from home. Black Hills Helicopters recently purchased an R44 through HSI so of course we had to stop in since we were in the area. Beautiful facility and wonderful staff!
HSI, like most of Houston, has been closed this week due to weather issues. Safety is always our highest priority for our customers and employees. You can message us or call our cell phones if you have an immediate need. We hope to resume normal business as soon as possible. Thank you to everyone for your understanding.
STAY SAFE AND STAY WARM!
HSI is always excited when we bring new customers onboard. This spectacular EC120 just landed on the ramp. Welcome Buffalo Wild Wings. Your pretty girl is in good hands.
Birthday Salute to N1206G She was hatched by Ma and Pa Bell in Oct 1966 and served her country in Viet Nam and Korea--still serving as a Fire Ship as we helped put one out yesterday in Douglas County--it has been my Privilege and Honor to be able to fly such a Historic Aircraft Green Delta 24 RVN 72-73. Thank you Tom for letting HSI share this story.
HSI wants to acknowledge and thank Brandon Burts for all he has done for us this past month. He’s has flown from San Diego, California to Long Island, New York delivering Helicopters. His dedication to aviation is appreciated and we celebrate his efforts!
Our newest acquisition is home safe and sound. This beautiful AS350B3 is for sale!
And we say goodbye to the next one.
We always hate to see them leave but are excited for the new owners!
HSI is deeply saddened by the loss of a Houston Police Department pilot. We pray that God will grant his family, friends and coworkers strength and peace in the days ahead and extend our most sincere condolences.

Receiving the Diamond Award of Excellence is recognition of our accomplishments and we would like to thank the FAA for the opportunity to participate. Helicopter Services expresses our sincerest condolences to the the families of William Byler, Bailee Ackerman Byler and Gerry Lawrence. Our hearts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.
It is with a very sad heart that we say goodbye to Ricky Ray Gonzalez today. Most of you knew Ricky when he was a maintenance technician with us. We were proud to have him for four years. He was given an opportunity to change career paths about a year and a half ago and we all encouraged him because of the amazing chance he was being given. Ricky loved his new job and he excelled at it like everything else he did. Unfortunately a random accident took his life last Monday. Ricky leaves behind a beautiful fiancé, daughter, parents and brother. Our prayers and love are with his family as they go through the pain of loss.
All the employees at HSI are profoundly blessed that we had a chance to know such a fine young man and have him in our lives for the time we did.
Rest In Peace Ricky and fly high!

If you ever wondered what love looks and sounds like, this is it. 11 helicopters firing up to head out and join the flight bringing Casey's remains home. The honor flight was amazing to witness and finishing it with the missing man formation was incredible! Thank you Sgt Donnie Plant, Greg Willms, Brandon Burts, Ted Miller, Tony Ksendzuk, David Granbery, Wade Richardson, Ryan Miller, Mike Acuna, Mike Landry, Matt Goodwin, David Cannon, Mike Correia, Karl Winter, Jim Gantt, Travis Hess, Ed Aycock and Russell Gordy. The flooding event on April 18th affected so many people in the Houston area and our hearts and prayers go out to all of them. The flooding at HSI was enough to be a gigantic process in the offices but the helicopters came through unscathed (skids were higher than the water was). Thankfully everything that was lost is replaceable which makes us luckier than most.
Thank you to all of our loyal customers and friends for your understanding during our construction/rebuild. We are available via email or phone, keep trying if you don't reach us on the first try. Maintenance is ongoing as usual so don't hesitate to give us a call.
It has been 1 year since Helicopter Services stopped flight operations. It was a sad period at first but with all things, time makes it better; and better it has been. Our Sales and Maintenance departments have flourished! We had an amazing year thanks to our loyal customers and our stellar reputation. Here's to another year as good as the last!
Join The Pathway Church for a fun and educational night on February 7th. HSI will be doing helicopter rides to help raise money for continued events by the church. Spread the word about this event; Team Xtreme brings a great message to be shared.
