Just so you know I'm not talking behind your back - I went to bend over to put dishes in the bottom rack of dishwasher this morning and may have cussed you a little 🤷🏼‍♀️. Damn booty and legs are a little sore. I keep trying to tell myself it's for the best 🤣. 💪🏻🏋️🏻‍♀️
This is 45 lbs (bar and weights). I was doing walking lunges this morning with this weight. Trust me when I say it was a challenge. Then I realized I used to weigh 200 lbs (which is more than my current weight and the 45-pound bar combined)! There are memes/posts that have gone around showing how added weight affects your organs, joints and overall well-being. All true - and all good reasons to put your health (both physical and mental) as important. I’m here to show others what consistency and hard work can do. I’m 47 and in the best shape of my life and it will only get better as I get closer to my goals. I’m not naturally athletically inclined, so if I’m capable, then anyone can do this too!
Guess WHAT?!?! I tried on my old favorite jeans today. I was scared but omg when I put them on they fit like a glove!!! So so excited!! Happy dance going on over here!!! I guess all those burpees and whatever else you make me accomplish is worth it!! Happy Saturday and thanks for all you do!!!

Breann I’ve go a Question: I need to add some kind of supplement for my son who is already on the small side but also takes medication that makes it hard to gain weight and affects his appetite. Dr recommended a protein drink. 😬 I notice a lot premade ones are loaded with lots of sugar and probably other crap he doesn’t need and there are so many options. You have any recommendations on any of this? Probiotics or ideas to help with the “flow of things” is greatly appreciated as well.
Shout out to you for this page and teaching me to read labels. I was looking for healthy crips and found that many brands pump them full of sugar then try to make them look healthy. I was able to find one that had no added sugar for my 11 month old.

I want to be around a long time and after watching my grandparents health deteriorate rapidly over their final years due to lack of activity and unhealthy eating habits (which lead to Diabetes and numerous other health issues) I REFUSE to put my children and future grandchildren through that. Childhood obesity is disgustingly rampant today and we have no one to blame but ourselves. I run my own business, am a wife and mom of beautiful, busy twin girls, maintain a household and so on, so can YOU. We make time the things that matter to us.

Mission: To show other busy momma's that they don't have to sacrifice family time or the budget to take care of themselves & their families. We CAN control what we put in our bodies without feeling deprived & exercise doesn't have to be a dreadful experience. [05/09/20]   Just booked my laser hair treatments this morning. Yay!!!! SO happy my med spa is back open!

Oh and TMI but whatever, women ask me about it all the time so I might as well post it, right?

My ONLY regret with laser hair removal is that I didn't do it sooner. I have struggled with ingrown hairs, get razor burn easily and my hair on my body grows super fast. I have had phenomenal results. It's SO fast and the results are absolutely worth it.

In fact, my husband is the one who suggested it after I told him how much I was paying for waxing....he was like, um, go do laser, it will save so much $ in the long run.

So, if you have dark hair and you've been considering it, DO IT!!!

What are you reading right now? I’ve been flying through books lately (literally finished one last Sat morning, started another and finished before bed!) and have been posting them on my Instagram @hopefaithgetfit

Want to see what a miserable (yet thankful), pregnant woman with twins at 37 weeks and 3 days looks like? 👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻

This was taken at my husbands birthday dinner....4 days before I had the girls. Miserable is an understatement.

I’m so grateful that I kept twins in for 38 weeks. It’s rare. We had zero NICU time and I’m so very #thankful.

Never ever did I think those little babies would lead me to a career I’m passionate about! ❤️❤️❤️

Now I'm off to send the day with those little babies!

What is something you’re thankful for today??

Let's talk about setbacks. It's pretty safe to say that most of us are in the middle of a pretty legit setback right now, no? Even you are trucking along w/no issues (yay!!), it's a safe bet that you'll encounter them at some point or another.

See this handsome man of mine? I want to share something with you in hopes that it helps YOU through a trying time.

He suffered a tear in his chest during bench press. He immediately sought medical intervention and began rehabing it after a few days of rest. We are SO thankful it wasn't more serious and didn't need surgery.

A couple of days later, he was stretching and felt something funny in his leg. He kept a close eye on it but after a couple of days, we feared he had a blood clot. In case you aren't aware, a clot is not something to dismiss or take lightly. It can kill you, quickly. Again, he sought medical intervention and was able to get an ultrasound which showed NO clot, thank you Jesus!

He basically has an inflamed vein. So weird, I know. That's how he rolls, lol. But my point in sharing is that, yes, he was pissed. He could have said 'screw it' but he didn't. He chose to focus on what he CAN do. So while he can't lift heavy like he likes or even do lower body right now, he CAN rehab his chest and work his arms.

Amidst that, we had an issue with one of our girls that could have gone horribly wrong (everything is fine), to which we both said 'eff it' and enjoyed a couple drinks. #stresslevelswerehigh

I know what it's like to suffer injuries (of course he has me outdone in the injury department!), dealing with the child issues we had, an uncertain economy and just life and he's CHOOSING to better himself.

I'm just proud of him for choosing to focus on the things he can do and control vs letting the crap drag him down day in and day out.

Some days flat suck but the great thing is that we have the power shift our focus.

SAVE.YOUR.BREATHE.

I do NOT advocate supplements unless they are truly needed. I don't care how good it is, how much it's done for you or your upline or what your 'research' shows....I'm not buying.

I EDUCATE my clients to be their own advocates, to focus on whole foods, moderation over deprivation, exercise that is best suited for THEM and only then do we defer to supplements if BLOOD WORK indicates they are still needed.

So if you're into pills or shakes or detox crap, you're following the wrong girl. ;-)

Ever get cravings? I DO!! Look, sometimes you just need some chocolate or a cookie and I definitely don't advocate deprivation. However, most of the time, our cravings are often an indication of a deficiency.

If you find you've been indulging a little more than normal, it's time to check yourself. ;-) Save this to your phone or share it to your page so you'll have it handy.

Do you have a pair pink shorts in your closet? I bet you do. ;-)

Some of you may recognize these. The infamous pink shorts. Don't worry, this isn't a fashion post (obviously). ;)

I've had these shorts for about 7 or so years. Sometimes they fit well (like they did when I first bought them) and sometimes, truth be told, I can't even button them. #notkidding

I fluctuate a lot weight wise but I keep these shorts as my measuring stick. I put these on periodically to judge my progress and/or maintenance. When they start getting too tight (like right now, I can button them but they aren't comfy at all) I know I need to reign things in a bit with my nutrition and/or adjust my exercise intensity/methods.

If I'm being totally honest, I was worried about trying them on during all this crap because I truthfully haven't put on real clothes since this all started. To my defense, I'm a trainer so it's my 'uniform' to be in workout clothes. Which is are super forgiving. ;-)

Instead of focusing on the scale, I love using a piece of clothing in its place. 1. The scale lies 2. Clothes don't.

So I'm curious, do YOU have a pair of 'pink shorts' in your closet? If not, will you consider using this method over the regular weigh-in's?

[05/04/20]   This is one of my favorite days! Tell me what you're doing for your physical & mental health this week!

When I ran across this graphic I froze.

Know why?

I am NOT kidding when I say that was me. I don't even know that my husband knows the extent of my internal dialogue and stress over this. Taking a bite of my girls food or them taking a bite of mine would send me over the edge (internally) as I tried to figure out to adjust my macros. I would measure everything to the nth degree. If my macros lined up perfectly, I was on cloud 9. Never mind that I was starving and eating the same food over and over or food that I didn't even care for.

That is disordered eating and it is NOT healthy.

Yes, I DO feel we should all track what we eat at some point in our lives so we have an idea as to what we are consuming. Doing that forever? All day everyday? Hell NO.

Tracking your food has numerous benefits....learning just how much you're consuming or under consuming is eye opening and a fast way to make adjustments to your diet and health. I often recommend tracking your food BEFORE you try supplements. Why take a supplement when you don't even know if you're deficient? Why not try to fix it with food, first?

Obviously knowing how much you're eating will also give you an advantage if you're trying to lose/gain weight.

It's also a wonderful tool to help you pinpoint any intolerances you may be experiencing.

But please, if you find yourself pouring over the menu, entering everything into your tracking app before you enjoy a meal with family, refusing to go out to eat because you can't track it, obsessing over your spinach or every bite you take, you are not doing your overall health any favors.

Take it from me, it's one thing to be mindful and use these tools to help you stay on track but you can NOT live and die by them. You HAVE to live your life.

I love love love helping people set attainable goals! How many of us have set a goal only to fall short? I have-many times!

So often, we get caught up in the end result and don't give any thought to the actual steps we need to get to that end goal.

We dedicated a whole episode to this so make sure you’re subscribed! I'll also be doing a FB Live this Friday over at Beyond Fitness where I'll be walking you through how to write your goals with purpose and intention. ❤

🌟🌟Healthy meals don’t have to be complicated or time consuming! 🌟🌟

Threw this together for lunch the other day (added seasoning) along with diced chicken breast that I cooked a couple of days prior.

Simple, filling, clean and a great way to get my protein and veggies in. Love the simple ingredients on the riced veggies. Not all brands are created equal so make sure you read those labels.

*I only used about 3/4 of the cream of mushroom.

If you saw my Live last week about my Peloton and wondering how that fits into my weight training or are confused because you know I absolutely do NOT recommend cardio as the best way to lose weight....here’s why!

Too much cardio will kill your muscle gains (those nice defined arms, that tighter, firmer look). Too much cardio sends conflicting messages to your body if you’re trying to build muscle.

For simplicity, weight training signals your muscles to grow. Cardio signals it to pair down.

I pack on muscle in my legs easily so I’m adding in a bit of cardio with the Peloton to help trim down...it’s a fine balance and you have to find what works for you.

Remember that too much cardio will keep you from building muscle. This is why you see skinny fat or those who only do cardio to lose weight and end up looking flabby or soft.

Not only that but weight training elicits an after-burn of calories that you don’t get with cardio. Build more muscle, burn more calories. 💪🏻

Keep that in mind if you’re trying to lose fat and increase muscle. Make sure your training aligns with your goal.

One of my girls is really struggling right now and after listening to her complain for days, I finally gave her a little tough love (appropriate for a 10 year anyway).

She was choosing every.single.day. to focus on a few aspects of her school work that she dislikes (with a passion I might add). In the time she spent complaining, she could have completed the assignments. Telling her that was NOT helping.

I eventually went to her room and told her I loved her and that if she needed to be mad or upset or have a pity party, that was fine. I told her to take the time she needed to cry, sleep, listen to music or whatever she needed and that I would check on her later.

That evening when she was no longer upset, we had a long talk. I told her sometimes it's totally fine to be really mad and upset and need to cry. There is nothing wrong with those feelings and we need to honor them.

But, we need to acknowledge them and then reframe things. In this case, the school issues are not changing so continuing to wallow does zilch. I told her that there will ALWAYS be things in life, in her future jobs, relationships, etc that she does NOT like doing but she will have to do them anyway. So, she can either make it harder on herself OR choose to do them and move on so she can focus on the things she DOES enjoy. The last few days have gone much smoother for her.

I think sometimes we all need that reminder. I know I do. It's okay to be mad, hurt, upset, confused or whatever but bottling it up doesn't last forever. It's important to acknowledge those feelings and then find a way to improve/move on/change things. Don't be an Eeyore. He's super cute but man he must lead a sad life. ;-)

Don't let some not so great days or times take over.

Beachbody (at home workout programs) ignited my passion for helping others. I went on and became a Certified Personal Trainer, Corrective Exercise Specialist, Fitness Nutrition Coach and a few other specialties...suffice it to say, I’ve got you covered. ;-) I now run a successful in home training business and am able to offer at home programs for those who are not local. It's the best of both worlds!

Bottom line, I want to be around a long time and I don't want to burden my children with preventable health issues when I'm old. I want to be a positive role model to my girls. And I'm no where near perfect; I still love me some pizza and ice cream! Blue Bell Banana Pudding is to die for!! I just don't eat the whole pint in one sitting anymore. :) My pants thank me for that. ;-) I believe in living a balanced lifestyle; one of moderation, not deprivation.
