Just so you know I'm not talking behind your back - I went to bend over to put dishes in the bottom rack of dishwasher this morning and may have cussed you a little 🤷🏼‍♀️. Damn b***y and legs are a little sore. I keep trying to tell myself it's for the best 🤣. 💪🏻🏋️🏻‍♀️
This is 45 lbs (bar and weights). I was doing walking lunges this morning with this weight. Trust me when I say it was a challenge. Then I realized I used to weigh 200 lbs (which is more than my current weight and the 45-pound bar combined)!

There are memes/posts that have gone around showing how added weight affects your organs, joints and overall well-being. All true - and all good reasons to put your health (both physical and mental) as important.

I’m here to show others what consistency and hard work can do. I’m 47 and in the best shape of my life and it will only get better as I get closer to my goals. I’m not naturally athletically inclined, so if I’m capable, then anyone can do this too!
Guess WHAT?!?! I tried on my old favorite jeans today. I was scared but omg when I put them on they fit like a glove!!! So so excited!! Happy dance going on over here!!! I guess all those burpees and whatever else you make me accomplish is worth it!! Happy Saturday and thanks for all you do!!!

Breann I’ve go a Question: I need to add some kind of supplement for my son who is already on the small side but also takes medication that makes it hard to gain weight and affects his appetite. Dr recommended a protein drink. 😬 I notice a lot premade ones are loaded with lots of sugar and probably other crap he doesn’t need and there are so many options. You have any recommendations on any of this? Probiotics or ideas to help with the “flow of things” is greatly appreciated as well.
Shout out to you for this page and teaching me to read labels. I was looking for healthy crips and found that many brands pump them full of sugar then try to make them look healthy. I was able to find one that had no added sugar for my 11 month old.

Ladies this your PSA to get your mammogram and annual exams! Do NOT put this off. Please.

A couple of weeks ago I had some potentially scary stuff come up on my routine exam and it was hell waiting for my next appt. I’m so incredibly thankful that I finally got the All Clear from the doctor.

If you’re under 40 or your doctor won’t write orders, you have options. I also use thermography and ultrasound. They all have their place and benefits to each. Those two don’t require doctors orders either. Peace of mind, a baseline and early detection are a MUST.

Please do your due diligence. ❤️❤️❤️

Can NOT stress this enough. If you do not have these basics you not get very far. If you think you can skip these, toss in a protein shake and couple of workouts and build a solid, healthy lifestyle you.are.wrong.

You know those friends of yours who always look good and healthy? Those ones who rarely get sick? Who you never see dieting? What about athletes? They all share these principles, I assure you.

While you may think these basics don't matter, they are likely what's setting them and you apart. Yes we all have varying abilities, goals, schedules, etc but you have GOT to build a solid foundation if you are after longterm health.

Jumping into ridiculous meal plans, intense workout challenges, starving yourself or pumping yourself full of supplements is NOT an effective strategy for long term health.

If this feels like too much for you, take one or two from the list at a time. You don't have to do all the things perfectly all the time either. I encourage you, especially if you're a beginner START HERE.

When my girls were toddlers (will you look at them now, I mean, what in the world is happening?!) I was on the receiving end of an eye roll from the curly headed one and it was that moment I realized how sponge-like kids are. From how we talk, walk, react, eat, take care of ourselves and everything in between they truly are watching our every move. That one eye roll was no doubt learned from yours truly and boy did it sting because who likes to acknowledge a less than desirable trait about themselves, am I right? It was during those early years that I realized how important it was for me to lead by example. I can’t ask or expect something of them that I’m not doing myself.

Between my little sponges and the Obesity Epidemic facing our youth, I knew it was imperative that I do my part to end this disturbing trend by incorporating the importance of proper nutrition for children into my arsenal. That’s why I LOVE working with parents; they get to learn new, healthier ways of doing things so their kids don’t have the same struggles when they grow up. What a beautiful gift!

Now, a few ground rules in our house: We don’t use the F (fat) word and we don’t discuss our weight. We talk about being healthy instead of skinny or fat and how that looks different on everyone. We talk about eating well, exercising, the importance of sleep and drinking enough water. Our girls see us making healthier choices while still enjoying treats. We are not naive, we know we can’t prevent the negative body image talk forever but we want HEALTH to be of utmost importance to them versus a stupid number on a scale or the size of their clothing. They are the reason we live a life of moderation, not deprivation. We enjoy our treats, we don’t deprive ourselves or go on diets.

I’ve been hung up on the scale (not in front of them) and I know the struggle. I’m doing everything so they don’t have the same battle. That all starts at home, especially as their mom. We can control THIS portion of their impressionable little lives for now. What they do on their own when they are out of our house, well, we can’t control but it IS our job as parents to give them the solid foundation they deserve.

If you’re still with me, I want you to think about something. When you go out to eat, why is there a separate kids menu? Why aren’t they offered the same food as the adults? Why are they relegated to grilled cheese, burgers, pizza, mac n cheese and french fries? What are we teaching our children by showing them this is how they are supposed to eat? Why don’t restaurants simply offer the same food in smaller portions? Isn’t that what you do at home? Unless you’re a short order cook, that’s the way it SHOULD be.

We’d do anything for our kids, right? That’s a no brainer. So why are we setting them up for failure by leading them down the path to obesity? Why are we KNOWINGLY filing our kids with garbage? And please don’t tell me it’s cheaper to feed them the packaged crap or because ‘that’s all they’ll eat.’ That is pure and simple BS and I’m calling out anyone right now who says otherwise. Give me a chance to show you how you can change those bad habits into better ones.

While technology and packaged foods have made our lives much easier in numerous ways, it’s killing us. Too much screen time, not enough physical activity and artificial/genetically modified foods are a deadly combination.

Just 50 short years ago, these convenience foods didn’t exist. Smartphones and tablets weren’t even on the radar. Most households were lucky to have one (black and white) TV! They ate meals together that mom prepared from scratch. They didn’t snack all day long and sit in front of the tv or computer playing games. Everyone was more active and ate a diet rich in whole foods.

I’m no 1950’s housewife...you won’t find me preparing elaborate meals in heels and pearls (it’s yoga pants and my Qalo band, duh). Most days it’s fairly balanced and but other days it’s chicken nuggets and maybe some fruit to make me feel less guilty. Some days it’s ‘find something from the fridge.’ I get it. Oh my gosh do I understand!! BUT, that is not the norm. It’s about finding something close to that thing we call balance. Which will look a little different for everyone. It’s important to find that for you and your family. I’ll say it again, if you want better for your children (I don’t know a single person who doesn’t!) then it starts with YOU.

THIS IS DIFFERENT.

If you have injuries, aches/pains, etc they are addressed and the exercises are modified to YOUR level. Yes you all start at 9a but you go at YOUR pace. You are competing against yourself.

This isn't some bu****it, burpee, jump around and pushup thing. This is conditioning. It will challenge you.

You will probably walk away exhausted but more importantly, feeling amazing and PROUD. I would love to have you join me THIS Saturday 21st at 9a. It is FREE for the rest of August.

Our Story

Hi! Welcome to Hope & Faith Fitness, home of Relentless Training. First and foremost, I’m a Christ follower, wife, twin mom, personal trainer, fitness nutrition coach, self professed neat freak, who enjoys working out, lots of sarcasm, has a bit of a mouth but loves Jesus andddddd eating all the food and educating and inspiring others to become the best version of themselves! I’m so glad you’re here!

My goal is to continually improve my level of health & fitness through proper nutrition and hard work and to inspire my friends, family and others along the way. There is no magic pill or diet that is going to get you there. I wish!! Making & committing to a lifestyle change is the ONLY way to get there. I want to be around a long time and after watching my grandparents health deteriorate rapidly over their final years due to lack of activity and unhealthy eating habits (which lead to Diabetes and numerous other health issues) I REFUSE to put my children and future grandchildren through that. Childhood obesity is disgustingly rampant today and we have no one to blame but ourselves. I run my own business, am a wife and mom of beautiful, busy twin girls, maintain a household and so on, so can YOU. We make time for what matters to us.

Beachbody (at home workout programs) ignited my passion for helping others. I went on and became a Certified Personal Trainer, Corrective Exercise Specialist, Fitness Nutrition Coach and a few other specialties...suffice it to say, I’ve got you covered. ;-) I now run a successful in home training business and am able to offer at home programs for those who are not local. It's the best of both worlds!

Bottom line, I want to be around a long time and I don't want to burden my children with preventable health issues when I'm old. I want to be a positive role model to my girls. And I'm no where near perfect; I still love me some pizza and ice cream! Blue Bell Banana Pudding is to die for!! I just don't eat the whole pint in one sitting anymore. :) My pants thank me for that. ;-) I believe in living a balanced lifestyle; one of moderation, not deprivation.
