When it comes to developing good character, Primrose students have 12 special helpers. Through songs, stories, activities and more, teachers use the Primrose Friends to help children learn about positive character traits like generosity ❤️, courage 🦁 and cooperation 🤝.

The start of a new school year is always exciting, but little ones sometimes feel nervous about making the transition whether that be the prospect of a new classroom, new teachers or new friends. Try these tips to help build your child's confidence for the first day of school and beyond:​

👋 Wave Goodbye to Summer: Enjoy an end-of-summer picnic and a first day back at school breakfast with your family.​

🙂 Keep it Positive: Your attitude makes a huge difference when it comes to building excitement about the school year. Talk to your child about all the fun they'll have and how they'll get to see their school friends soon. ​
​
🍎 Practice Healthy Habits: Schedules tend to get off track in the summer, so it's important to reestablish your child's normal sleeping and eating schedules. The transition will be easier for both of you when your little one is well-rested and feeling good. ​
​
🗓️ Make a Paper Chain: Starting in the final days of summer, create a paper chain with every "link" representing one day. Have your child draw what happened that day on each link. When the first month of school is over, you'll have a fun memory craft to decorate with. ​
​
📚 Read Together: Reading books about heading back to school is a fun way to get your child excited while helping strengthen their early literacy skills. ​

We were so happy and thankful to see everyone's smiling faces today! Hurricane Beryl couldn't keep us down! Our kiddos were excited to be back in school with their teachers and friends and it certainly showed. 💗

In June, Primrose schools in Middle Tennessee hosted over 340 teachers for Professional Development Day! This event was full of learning, collaboration, team-building exercises and networking. ​

We're happy to support by providing them continuous opportunities to learn and grow. Thank you to everyone who helped bring this Professional Development Day to life, from schools and Franchise Owners to our guest speaker and the amazing teachers who help build a brighter future for every student.

We are continuously monitoring the status of Hurricane Beryl and due to the anticipated impact we will be closed tomorrow, July 8th.

We had a blast during our Red, White, and Blue Parade on Wednesday and enjoyed cooling off with some yummy popsicles.

Today our Explorers went Free-Falling into Fun! During their visit to the iFly facility they went through their training and got to go indoor sky diving, what an amazing experience! 🤩

Today the infants explored a firework sensory bottle! Their teachers explained that fireworks are bright lights that we watch during a celebration, then they talked with the infants about what things they could see and hear in their sensory bottles.

This week our explorers BLASTED OFF into learning all about planes and aerial transportation! First we went to the Lone Star Flight museum, then they took a trip to our local airport, Hooks. They had opportunities to observe, board, and even get hands on with some of the planes and devices. What an experience!

Playtime helps your little one explore their world, use their imagination, solve problems and more. And if you’re the parent of a toddler, you’ll soon notice them engaging in parallel play, a type of play that has its own unique characteristics and benefits. Play isn’t just a fun way for your child to spend their days — it’s an important part of their development in their first five years. And when they get to play alongside other children, they’ll grow new skills and even make their first friendships.

Spring Fling has come to an end, and this year the Primrose community has raised more than $510,000 as children learned about the joy of giving without expectation. 🌸🎉​

Half of the funds raised will support local charities in Primrose school communities, and the other half support the Primrose Schools Children Foundation's mission to empower people, care for the planet and give back to communities through contributions to West Lakes Early Learning Center, No Kid Hungry®, Save the Children® and more.

Today our classes participated in the Primrose Champions Olympics! They did relay races, an obstacle course, bean bag toss, frisbee throw, and javelin throw! Our kiddos loved getting to go outside and compete with their friends!

Today is Juneteenth, a holiday that commemorates Black history, equality and freedom in the United States. It's a day of remembrance, but also a day of joy and celebration for Black Americans. We honor and encourage families to join us in recognition of this important occasion!

Today our Explorers went to the Houston Interactive Aquarium! We fed stingrays, fish, and birds. We saw all of the reptiles and mammals and enjoyed spending some time together outdoors!

On Friday we celebrated a special group of our Alumni, who are also graduating high school this year.

These alumni walked these very halls and graduated from our preschool and PK programs when they were children. We honored them with a cord ceremony, a clap out, and photos with some of our current graduating Pre-K students.

As they embark on this next adventure in their lives we wish them all the success and happiness in the world! Congratulations graduates, we are so proud of you all!

This week we took time to honor our Alumni.

On Thursday we invited one of our current families in to be celebrated and honored for being primrose alum for TWO generations!

We are so thankful to have a loyal family like the Schneemans as part of our Primrose School of Champions family. We feel so honored to be trusted to provide quality care and education for two generations running and look forward to many more!
