God's Modern Day Millionaires

ONE MINUTE PRAYER Let's Pray, Dear God you said in your word that I can decree a thing and it shall be established. Every word that proceeds out of my mouth must be words that will edify and bring forth the impossible. My ability to decree a blessing over others is powerful. Forgive me for the times in which I have not chosen my words carefully. From this day forth I will not allow negative words or negative decrees be a part of my vocabulary. If I can not say any thing good out of the mouth that you created and live, then I will not say any thing at all. In Jesus Name Amen!
God’s Modern Day Millionaires for Market Place Leaders, 31 Days of ”The Power of Faith, Favor, Prayer and the Anointing” by Dr. Gregg Thomas Day 28 of 31 "God's Grace, Peace and His Decree" As God's Modern Day Millionaires we have the ability to decree God's Grace and Peace over our brothers and sisters, especially during hard times. Job 22:28 says Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways. God's Grace is so Amazing. Webster defines Grace as; a : unmerited divine assistance or favor given humans for their regeneration or sanctification. b : a virtue coming from God. c : a state of sanctification enjoyed through divine grace. The Greek word for Grace is the word charis, which means to show favor towards God's creation. This is why the Apostle Paul in most of his writings or letters he began by greeting his readers using the word grace-charis. First because he knew he was speaking to the Greek and gentile world. In some cases, he used a variation by also using the word peace. Paul became everything to every culture he was called to serve. Whenever he used the word grace, he was actually decreeing favor on the readers and listeners. Just like when he used the word peace, Paul was decreeing Shalom the God kind of peace on the people of God. He knew that this was how the Jews greeted one another. The Jews still greet each other this way even today. Whenever they greeted one another they would say Peace or Shalom. They were decreeing God's peace and prosperity over the person or persons they were greeting. Do you know that your words are seeds that when spoken will go forth and produce a harvest for the one you speak it over as well as for the one that spoke it? How are you greeting your brothers and sisters in Christ? Better still, what decrees are you releasing over those in your family or among those that are in your environment? The words you speak will become established the moment you release them. Remember charis means God's Favor, while Shalom means God's Peace and Prosperity. Who do you know need the Favor and Peace of God today? As Christians whenever we greet someone it is a custom that we use the word Bless. Whenever you say God Bless you! You are decreeing and releasing everything that Jesus died for. You are saying I release God's peace, His favor, fruit of the spirit, His healing, and salvation for the person and his house hold and on and on and on. Every parent especially the father should make it a habit to pronounce the blessings over his/her family each and every day. If you are not satisfied with the way things are happening in your family, examine the words you've been speaking. If you are not speaking or decreeing a blessing over others, then you are speaking or decreeing a curse. You are one of God's Modern Day Millionaires. Let's Pray, Dear God you said in your word that I can decree a thing and it shall be established.
ONE MINUTE PRAYER Let's Pray, Dear God I confess today that I am steadfast, and unmovable no matter what. Even under pressure because of the challenges of tough times. I will not give up. I will never let go of my dream. I know that if I persist I will succeed. Thank you Father for your support, wisdom and encouragement in Jesus Name Amen!
God’s Modern Day Millionaires for Market Place Leaders, 31 Days of ”The Power of Faith, Favor, Prayer and the Anointing” by Dr. Gregg Thomas Day 27 of 31 "Never Give Up On Your Dream During Tough Times" The attitude and commitment that God's Modern Day Millionaires must have during tough times is to "Never Give Up On Your Dream". No matter what is going on around you, your attitude must be one that has a resolve to never, never throw in the towel. As a matter of fact, you should remove the words never and quit out of your vocabulary. I Corinthians 15:58 says, Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord. If you expect to be great or to achieve anything great, your commitment or resolve must be to be steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in God's work. In order that we have a better understanding of the words stead fast and unmovable, lets' examine the Greek meaning of both. First of all the Greek word for steadfast is the word edraious. This word has various meaning; • To be stationary or to sit in one place for a long period of time. • To be firm or solid as a rock. • To be strong as a foundation that support other structures. • To be unbreakable under pressure. If you are to live your dream, you will have to be edraious-steadfast, stationary, solid as a rock, strong as a foundation and unbreakable under pressure. The Greek word for unmovable is ametakinetos. This word means; • To not easily get excited, shaken or affected by what's going on around you. • To not be unpredictable or changeable. • To be a person with a strong or unbending character in tough situations. • To be anchored or permanent As God's Modern Day Millionaires achieving your dream is totally dependent on you making up your mind that you are not going to be easily excited or shaken. Because you are ametakinetos-unmovable. You are not going to be unpredictable or always changing your mind. You are a person that will be strong and unbending in tough situations because you are anchored in hope and faith no matter what. You will be steadfast and unmovable during tough times. Remember; "Dreams Never Die, Only People". The dream God has given you is not just for you but for others. You have been created to be a support to others. You are a problem solver. If your dream is something that only requires your help along, then it will eventually die. However if your dream is bigger than you, then it will require God's help. What's impossible with man is possible with God. Don't allow your circumstances or the challenges of life steal your dream. What is Your Dream? You are one of God's Modern Day Millionaires. Let's Pray, Dear God I confess today that I am steadfast, and unmovable no matter what. Even under pressure because of the challenges of tough times. I will not give up. I will never let go of my dream. I know that if I persist I will succeed. Thank you Father for your support, wisdom and encouragement in Jesus Name Amen!
ONE MINUTE PRAYER Let’s Pray, Dear God thank You for delivering me, healing and restoring me. Thank you for helping me to overcome the issues of life. Without You Lord I would not have been able to overcome the pain of pass or present abuse, rejection, disappointment or failure that often caused me sometimes drawback. Sometimes I would just run. When relationships didn't work I run. When the marriage didn't work I ran by vowing that I will never trust another person again, vowing never to try marriage again. I run away from the business that failed, secretly vowing to never go into business again. But it was you Lord who never gave up on me. Forgive me for running away from my true potential and the future that You have plan for me. Whenever I ran it was only because I just did not want to be hurt again. But I know now that you will protect me, restore me, heal me and deliver me from myself, the failure and the pain of the past. I surrender it all to You, In Jesus Name Amen.
God’s Modern-Day Millionaires 29 Day Devotional for Market Place Leaders, Love, Faith, and Favor By Dr. Gregg Thomas, Sr. Day 5 0f 31 “How Not To Die With Your Dream Buried Inside of You” Did you know that fear is the number one reason why people young and old never realize their true potential? Maybe you are not living up to your true potential. It’s been said that the grave yard is full of unused potential. People die and never achieve the dream that was on the inside of them. They go to the grave with their entire God given potential. They never write the books that were on the inside of them. They never write the songs or the movies. They never create the inventions. Some never have the children that could become the next Michael Angelo, the next President of another country. I believe it was Zig Zigler that once said that the letters in fear stand for F-false, E-evidence, A-appearing, R-real. What is it that’s keeping you from living life to its fullest? I have seen many who start strong and never finish strong all because they have never confronted their fears, excuse, complacency, negative self-talk and their critics. We allow what other people say and think about us, pass disappointments, and personal failures to become the voices that control our future destiny. These voices will constantly keep you looking backwards through the rearview mirror to remind you of your pass failures, hurt, pain rejection abuse and disappointment. Listen, "You will never be able to go forward looking through your rear view mirror. In studying several Biblical Millionaires I have discovered that some of them had to face their issues of life and their fears in order to live their dream. As God’s Modern Day Millionaires we are not exempted from the issues life that will attack us from the blind side. We are not exempted from painful memories of our childhood or adulthood. However we must learn to not run, but face the hurt and disappointments with God’s help. Today’s devotional is about Hagar the biblical millionaires and the surrogate mother of Abraham's son. Genesis 16:1-15 says that the angel of the Lord met Hagar at a well near Shur and spoke a blessing over her life. The Shur was located in Egypt and mean “wall”. Hagar was running away from her disappointments, rejections and fears and had already began putting up walls in Egypt. The word Egypt always stands for bondage. When the angel of The Lord found Hagar she had already made a decision to live in Egypt, in bondage for the rest of her life. The angel encouraged her to return to her mistress and submit to her authority. As you recall Hagar was found running away from her mistress Sarah, who rejected and treated her harshly. Hagar is typical of a lot of us whom God has blessed with so much potential. Instead of running or pressing toward our future, we run away from our potential. I want you to know that God is greater than your pain and sorrow. He's greater than any of your fears. Who are the ones that hurt you? What are the things that you fear? Listen to what the angel of the Lord said to Hagar in Genesis 16, verses 9-12,"Return to your mistress and submit to her authority”. Then the angel began speaking this blessing over her, “I will give you more descendants than you can count. 'And the angel also said, 'You are now pregnant and will give birth to a son. You are to name him Ishmael, for the Lord has heard about your misery". Just like Hagar you too are pregnant with unlimited potential. You have living in you destiny and purpose. The Lord is deeply concerned about the discarded and the rejected. Often times when we are faced with the pain of pass or present abuse, rejection, disappointment or failure, we sometimes drawback. Some of us just run. When relationships don't work we run. When the marriage didn't work we ran by vowing that we will never trust another person again, vowing never to try marriage again. We run away from the business that failed, secretly vowing to never go into business again. Recently I counseled someone who had lost everything he and his wife owned during hurricane Katrina. Even though his family was spared, and he has been blessed with more things than he lost. He had vowed that he'll never return to the Gulf Coast, all because of the fear of another Hurricane Katrina. You too maybe like this person, maybe your fears has caused you to even want to try again. You may be facing one of the greatest storms of your life, and that storm might have been a failed marriage and your husband has walked out on you. Satan would want you to think it was all your fault, but God has sent me to encourage you today. Yes, I am the one who allowed the marriage even though it was not my perfect will for you says the Lord. If you can look up then you can get up. I have the right man in waiting whom I have been preparing just for you. This time you will not compromise your standards or your dignity. This time you will not have to change his diapers says the Lord. This time as you prepare yourself as the Queen in waiting, Your King will find you says the Lord. Yes, I have heard you say in secret because of your lost and fears you just don’t want to try again. Just as the angels of the Lord met Hagar and told her to return to face her mistress and submit, He’s also telling you that you are not judged by someone’s opinion of you or your pass mistakes, performances or fears, but only by the things that you never choose to grow from. But if you will try again you will be victorious. This time you’ll see the disappointments were really opportunities to learn about the flaws in your character or the voices you needed to learn to turn off. I want you to know that the internal storms of fear you're facing has not come to destroy you, but to bring out those hidden special qualities that's in you. You are greater than your fears. "God will never judge you based on your last performance or even sin”. As you ask Him to help you face your fears, also make a decision to not allow fear to keep you from living your dream. Fear is the opposite of faith. There are over 365 times in the bible where it says "fear not". Even if you have thought you had to face your fears all along, I want you to know that you are not along. You are one of God’s Modern Day Millionaires. Our God has promised never to leave you or abandon you. “It’s time to face your fears and live your dream”. Let’s Pray, Dear God thank You for delivering me, healing and restoring me. Thank you for helping me to overcome the issues of life. Without You Lord I would not have been able to overcome the pain of pass or present abuse, rejection, disappointment or failure that often caused me sometimes drawback. Sometimes I would just run. Let’s Pray, Dear God thank you for the fresh anointing today. I was one who felt dry, hard and brittle. [05/02/20]   God’s Modern-Day Millionaires 31 Day Devotional for Market Place Leaders, “What To Do During Tough Times”, by Dr. Gregg Thomas

Day 2 of 31 “I Need An Oil Change”

If you are one of God’s Modern Day Millionaires it is imperative that you maintain your joy doing Tough Times. As a Christian Life Business Coach and Pastor of a congregation, I have often worked with leaders in the Market Place that have lost their joy. Many have come to the place where they are spiritually drained. So many have stated that they just don’t feel like going on. Some have been knocked down, beaten up, abandon, misused and abused. They have been lied too, cheated on, and even manipulate and deceived by family, so called friends and business associates. What they were in need of is “An Oil Change”. 2 Corinthians 4:8-9 says, “We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed”.

King David had similar problems which lead him to write. Maybe you can identify with what today’s’ devotional is all about? Maybe what’s needed in your life is an oil change. A fresh anointing or an oil change is one of the things that can restore your joy and help you to remain strong when your dreams have been put on hold or when you have worked hard and your funds have dissapeared. The fresh oil of the Holy Spirit can heal and restore your soul and body. It is powerful enough to break any thing that has kept you in bondage. Do you need an oil change?

Luke 5:36-39 “He told them this parable: “No one tears a patch from a new garment and sews it on an old one. If he does, he will have torn the new garment, and the patch from the new will not match the old. And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. If he does, the new wine will burst the skins, the wine will run out and the wineskins will be ruined. No, new wine must be poured into new wineskins. And no one after drinking old wine wants the new, for he says, ‘The old is better”.

Doing Bible times skins were used as containers of various liquids. If they were not careful in how they cared for the skins, the skins would become dry and brittle so the owner would dip the skins into water and take the time to rub each one with oil. This would soften the skins, while also restoring them so they could be used. This is a great object lesson for God’s Modern Day Millionaires who need an Oil Change.

If you have become dry and brittle then you are also a candidate for an oil change. God wants to give you a fresh anointing for the assignment you have been called too. When you are dry and brittle you become fragile and irritable, with a hardened heart with no compassion for your brothers and sisters. When you have become this way you become useless and with out sensitivity for others. The parable in Luke 5:36-39 is a great example of what God is doing in the Market Place.

The Market Place is filled with people who have become dry, and brittle because of sin, abuse, delay, failure, disappointment, abandonment, rejection and acceptance. Others whose hearts are hardened are full of fear, doubt, unbelief, distrust and the traditions of men. Many have learned to fake it just to make it. The Holy Spirit wants to exchange your hard, brittle and dry heart with a heart that has been soften with fresh oil. The Holy Spirit wants you to be healed and restored, so you are ready for the work you are about to embark upon to help heal and restore suffering humanity. He will restore you just like He did in the parable. The old wine skins were first dipped into water in order to restore the moisture in the skins, then he would rub oil on the skin. This would then give the wine skin flexibility with endurance.

As God’s Modern Day Millionaires we need the anointing for flexibility and endurance to overcome tough times. When King David needed Fresh Oil look at what he said Psalm 23:1-6 “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever”.

David gives us Seven Keys for Overcoming Tough Times;
1. It was settle in David’s heart who was Lord of his life. He said the Lord is My Shepherd He’s all I want. He’s my everything.
2. David learned how to be at peace during Tough Times, and that God will provide. He said The Lord made him lie down in green pastures, besides the still waters. Maybe the times of delay are really a time to learn how to be at peace with your self and your circumstance. Learning to rest as you’re being led by God. Learning how to trust God with your life.
3. David went on to say “He restores my soul”. Those who are called to restore, rescue and bring healing to suffering humanity will first be brought to a place of revelation that God has restored your soul first. Your soul is where your mind, emotions, will and intellect are stored. If you don’t slow down to allow God to restore you, you will never be able to see the real problems behind those you have been called to serve.
4. Because God has now restored the issues of his soul he’s able to see clearly now that the rain is gone. Yes he didn’t say it like that, but he did say he’s now able to walk in righteousness (the word of God). Then he bursted out into praise when he said “yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I fear no evil” because he knew without a shadow of doubt that God was with him no matter what it looked like or felt like.
5. He then testifies saying; the word of God has become his comforter and the standard in which he lives (rod and staff).
6. Then those who were hoping he would fall, those who were full of negativity and un-belief that God could use David again because of past failures. David says God has anointed my head with oil in the very presence of his enemies. He has restored me He has given me an oil change. He has done for me what no one else could. In the midst of my enemies he blesses me openly.
7. Then God gave something he didn’t ask for, He gave David his own security force (Angels on Assignment Security Force) There personal names were Goodness and Mercy. Goodness stood on one side while mercy stood on the other. David said they follow him every where he goes. What About you, do you need an Oil Change, do you need Fresh Oil today? You are one of God’s Modern Day Millionaires.

Let’s Pray, Dear God thank you for the fresh anointing today. I was one who felt dry, hard and brittle. Forgive me for allowing the past hurts and disappointments to cause me to become harden in my heart. Forgive me for pretending I was okay when I really was hurting and did not want to be hurt again. Thank You for exposing and shattering the mask I wore as a pretended. Thank You Lord for restoring my soul. For now I too can see clearly now that the rain in my life is gone in Jesus Name Amen.

[05/01/20]   ONE MINUTE PRAYER
Let’s Pray, Dear God thank You for anointing me for my purpose. Because You have anointed me, I know without a shadow of doubt that I can overcome every circumstance I might encounter. You have anointed me with the wisdom and strength to stand and not throw in the towel. I will not allow fear to stop me from fulfilling my destiny. Thank You for anointing my head to protect me from every negative assault of the enemy to protect the value that’s in me in Jesus Name Amen.

[05/01/20]   God’s Modern-Day Millionaires 31 Day Devotional for Market Place Leaders, “What To Do During Tough Times”,

Day 1 of 31 “The Power of the Anointing to Hear”

“Tough Times never last, only Tough People”. How do you respond during tough times? As God’s Modern Day Millionaires if we are to be affective during Tough Times to accomplish that our God has called us to do, we need fresh oil. Psalms 92:10 says …I shall be anointed with fresh oil. We need the Anointing. So often we hear people use the term without the understanding of what it really is. The New Testament Greek words for “anoint” is chrio, which means “the smearing or rubbing of oil or perfume upon an individual, as a way to consecrate for office or religious service Exodus 28:41 says, And thou shalt put them upon Aaron thy brother, and his sons with him; and shalt anoint them, and consecrate them, and sanctify them, that they may minister unto me in the priest’s office.

In Bible times, people were anointed with oil to signify God’s blessing or call on that person’s life. Sometimes people were anointed for a special purpose, such as to be a king, to be a prophet, some were even anointed to be a builder, Exodus 29:7 says Then shalt thou take the anointing oil, and pour it upon his head, and anoint him. They were also anointed whenever someone was sick. James 5:14 says, “Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord”.

During Biblical times Shepherds would be seen anointing their sheep. Some theologians have said that the original purpose of the anointing came from the practice of the shepherds. This was done to prevent lice and other insects from getting into the wool of the sheep, they would anoint the sheep's head with oil. They did this to prevent insects from burrowing into the sheep's ears because it could eventually kill the sheep. Lice and other insect infested sheep will cause the sheep to bite at themselves and begin rubbing against anything available. If they were allowed to do this, this act would damage the fleece by matting the fibres and tearing the tip of the staple. If the sheep were not protected from the lice and other insects it would directly decree the economic value of the sheep. So, the shepherds would pour oil on the sheep's head. This made the wool slippery, making it impossible for insects to get near the sheep's ears because they would just slide off. From this, anointing became symbolic of healing, blessing, protection, and empowerment.

We also as sheep need the anointing to protect our thought life and to protect our ears from receiving any negative messages from our past as well as our present. We need the anointing during tough times to cause those things that would want to attach itself to us to just slide off, because of the anointing. It’s wonderful to know that we have been anointed. And the power of the anointing is enough power that will drown every negative word, break and destroy every yoke, circumstance or situation that would attempt to discourage us. Let give God thanks for anointing our head to protect the value that He placed on the inside of us. As we know only God Himself can truly anoint us to protect us and keep us.

What are those things that want to decrease the value that’s in you? What are the things that keep on reminding you of your past sin, disappointments and failures? Every time you move forward there it is again to push you back. What are the fears that’s causing you to live in pandemonium? I want you to know it’s the anointing that will break the yoke. Decree as David decreed, “He (God) has anointed my head with oil and my cup (blessing) is running over”. God wants you to walk in His anointing even while you’re going through tough times, so he can bless you in the midst of your enemy. “Tough Times Never Last, only Tough People”. You are one of God’s Modern Day Millionaires.

[04/30/20]   God’s Modern-Day Millionaires 30 Day Devotional for Market Place Leaders, “What To Do During Tough Times”,

Day 30 of 30 "A True Servant Will Always Be Promoted"

As I read Joshua1:7-8 and study the life of Joshua, one character that stands out is he was "A True Servant". In today's computerized, fast pace society it seems as though so many are looking for instant gratification. It seems as though no one wants to wait. Joshua was 85 years old before he became the successor of his leader Moses. He spent his first forty years as a slave in Egypt. While he spent another 45 years in the wilderness serving Moses. He was "A True Servant". What I love about Joshua is that even though he was born in the negative environment of Egyptian slavery, he did not allow his environment to affect his character.

Even as a young man, Joshua spent his time observing and obeying the teaching of his leader Moses. He was there when God used Moses to go before the powerful and wealthy Pharaoh, as he demanded that he let the children of Israel go free. He saw how bold and confident Moses was as he went before Pharaoh over and over again. He was there when God used the man of God to part the Red Sea. He saw how they never hungered or thirsted. He saw how God revealed himself as Jehovah Jireh (God will provide). He was there when God gave them victory over the Amalekites. A matter of fact, Joshua led the army of Israel into victory. It was Joshua who was one of the 12 spies to search out the promise land. However, it was also Joshua who came back along with Caleb with a positive report that they were well able to take the land. Joshua was faithful in his service, speech, thoughts and action. Joshua possessed a success and prosperity consciousness. He knew that the land of Canaan represented unlimited success and prosperity.

Because of Joshua's faithfulness as a "True Servant of God" he was promoted by God to lead the Hebrews into the Promised Land (The land of unlimited supply). As we observe the life of Joshua we see that a faithful servant is one who is always around (constant, loyal and submissive). He or she is one who will always be there in the hard times and the good times. Joshua was there through Egyptian's bondage and in the wilderness.

It took Joshua 45 years of serving before he entered into his destiny. What I also observed about this "True Servant" is he never was found murmuring and complaining. He was a living source of encouragement for his leader Moses. He was loyal to the command of Moses. Joshua 1:7-8 was a success charge and commission, only reserved for "True Servants". Take an inventory of your life today to see how your life compares to Joshua's. You Are One of God's Modern Day Millionaires.

Pray this prayer, Dear God, I am who I am because of your unfailing love for me. Thank you for giving me a chance to be a "True Servant". Thank you for putting your call on me to serve. When I serve it gives my life meaning and purpose. I know how much you love me, as you teach me to love others the way you love me. Help me to continue to be an humble servant who takes your orders and makes your deliveries. Forgive me when I treat you as if you were the servant instead of the Master. Forgive me when I think of you as only a vending machine waiting to roll out blessings and answers when I give you my list of needs. Give me a greater vision and heart of humility to see the needs, pain, hurts and the brokenness of people in the world around me. Thank you for holding me and at times even caring me and those who need to be served in your nail-scarred hands. In Jesus Name Amen!
