A feelings chart is a tool to help children identify and express their emotions. 💞 Save this post to use this feelings chart daily with your family.

Start the day by having each member identify how they are feeling in the morning. Throughout the day, family members can change how they are feeling and identify it using the chart as needed. This will help to spark dialogue about feelings and how family members can help or celebrate with one another.

Some benefits of using a feelings chart at home:
- Gives children the opportunity to think about how they feel and learn how to communicate it
- Helps children develop emotional literacy
- Helps children find words for their feelings

At Kiddie Academy, one essential center is the cozy corner. This special area provides children with a safe and comforting space where they can calm down and develop self-regulation skills. It's a warm, inviting spot away from the hustle and bustle of the classroom, designed for times when children feel sad, angry, frustrated, nervous, or tired. The cozy corner offers a place for kids to take a break, helping them to identify and regain control of their emotions.

The Pre-K classroom at transformed into future city planners as they designed their own city grids. This activity sparked creativity in each child, allowing them to brainstorm and discuss with their classmates the vision for their city.

We love the message these girls are sending through their photoshoot – that no kid can be defined as just one thing. You can be an athlete, a princess (or prince), smart, kind, creative... Be who you are, even if it checks many boxes, and even if not everyone gets it.

Empowering photos show girls it's OK to be both athletic and girly "Our daughters do not have to choose."

We will be closed tomorrow, July 9th due to the power outage. We will update again tomorrow as the situation progresses.

We hope that everyone is safe! As of right now, the school is without electricity. We will continue to monitor the progress. We plan on giving another update at 8pm.
