Cornerstone Preschool was my daughter's first preschool experience. We are happy that she received a lot of one-on-one care and schooling. Ms. Jenifer was well knowledgeable in early educational foundations. She recognized my daughter's need to be challenged academically and provided a tailored learning experience. We have had the pleasure of having our three year old son enrolled at Cornerstone Preschool since its inception in September 2013. This would be our son’s first experience with a preschool environment and we wanted to make sure that he would be in an encouraging environment with other children his age. We researched many preschools in the area but we just were not happy with anything that we found. We wanted our son to have a true ‘preschool’ experience and not a daycare experience with 10-15 children (or more!) in each class. We had previously worked with Ms. Jenifer as our daughter’s speech therapist, and we were thrilled to find out that she would be starting her own preschool! We signed our son up immediately!
Our son has learned so much in the short time that he has been in preschool. He is thrilled to go to school and is excited to see Ms. Jenifer and his friends! Ms. Jenifer takes the time to get to know each child’s strengths and weaknesses and helps them to excel. Ms. Jenifer has a fun filled schedule for the kids on each school day. She does arts and crafts activities, beginning reading skills, beginning math skills and writing skills to name a few. My son also loves the Bible stories and virtues that Mrs. Jenifer shares/teaches the class. He was very excited to share with me that Jesus starts with J just like his name! She also takes children on field trips and nature walks. My son loved the trip to the farm! The preparation Mrs. Jenifer is providing for my son to ready him for kindergarten is beyond measure. We truly adore Cornerstone Preschool and are grateful to have found such a caring and nurturing preschool environment for our son!

My husband and I are so thankful for the time our son, Caleb, attended Cornerstone Preschool. We were very anxious about his transition into preschool, and were concerned with him sharing the spotlight with others after time spent in very small, personalized in-home child care centers. Ms. Jenifer exhibited patience and care with him as he transitioned to her routine, yet loving preschool center. We watched him grow in love, patience and compassion for others, all characteristics that are essential foundational components for learning. In addition, she provided daily opportunities for learning through creative and engaging means. We highly recommend her preschool program!

Thanksgiving 2013 at Cornerstone Preschool

The children sorted the color popcorn and kernels and graphed how much each one had incorporating math.

The children matched the letters on the balls with the ones in the cartons.

We mixed sawdust with paint and discovered how it felt.

The children learned what was inside a pumpkin and how slimy and cold it was!

We had a great time learning about the birth of Jesus. We made candy cane cookies to remind us that Jesus' blood washes away our sins. We also used nativity finger puppets to retell the Christmas story. The children also made a Christmas Tree, which points up to heaven. The children received Hershey Kisses as a reminder that Jesus loves them.
