Focus for the most part is concentrated on UCR Part 1 Crimes... and it is working!

The black box of justice: How secret algorithms have changed policing Crime prevention efforts increasingly depend on data analysis about neighborhoods. But there’s a lot we don’t know—and vast opportunities for bias.

83 arrested, 4 dead, 50 DC police officers injured amid pro-Trump riots at the U.S. Capitol

Makes me wonder why they put "all their eggs in one basket"... meaning, it appears that the multi-agency Law Enforcement planning concentrated on the exterior threat (e.g., three separate barrier lines with posted officers) and not so much for the interior (most critical resource). I applaud the Capitol Police for the restraint they showed... there could've been many more deaths if their leadership decided to use "lethal force" to prevent breaching their barriers. Our prayers go out to the family of Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick (succumbed to his injuries from this mob).
