A study worth reading. Let me know your thoughts.

The risk of death for US LE officers is high and increasing over time, suggesting an at-risk population that requires further interventions. Targeted efforts based on risk factors, such as sex and race, may assist with the development of prevention programs for this population.

The Tourniquet Project

Do you carry any rescue supplies, or at least some rope and a figure 8 or sorts, if it was your partner over the ledge? You can't treat what you can't reach. #BePrepared

Interesting situation from a LEO arrest/casualty access standpoint. If you couldn't walk down there do you have the means to rappel down to at least start aid? What if that was your partner that got knocked over and not a suspect?
While this wasn't a bleeding situation, LEO's should be thinking about this stuff. You can't apply that #tourniquet if you cant access the casualty.
