Don't miss our Lenten Music series, starting this Thursday following 12:05pm mass in the Cathedral!
Our first performer will be Kaitlynn Eaton, Assistant Director of Music at the Cathedral. Kaitlynn grew up in Davenport, Iowa, after settling in Iowa when her father retired from the US Army. Kaitlynn’s love for the organ stems from family trips abroad to the great European cathedrals as well as her upbringing in the Episcopal Church. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Church Music from Wartburg College under Dr. Karen Black and her Masters Degree in Church Music from the University of Oklahoma under Dr. Damin Spritzer and Dr. Adam Pajan. Kaitlynn has 2 cats, 3 dogs, and a doting husband.
Kaitlynn's program will include the works of: Brahms, Daniel-Lesur, Walcha, and Manz.
Join us this Thursday after mass. There will be a light lunch after the music.

Thank you so very much to Dr. Cory Wikan and the Centenary College Camerata for a stunning, tender, deeply musical performance last night. All of the audience members raved about Camerata's musicality, their skill, the challenges of the music that the singers overcame, and how fantastically they sing together.
Thank you all for attending this incredible concert. This was, perhaps, one of our best attended events. We almost ran out of programs, which is the greatest problem to have!
Please be on the lookout for information about our closing Music at the Cathedral concert featuring world renowned organist, Bruce Neswick. Mr. Neswick will be performing a free recital here at the Cathedral on April 6th at 7pm. We hope all of you who came to the concert last night will join us again for another incredible evening of music.
The 2018-2019 series is currently in progress and underway and we are hoping to have Camerata return and sing for you all again!
As we mentioned the other day, there are many exciting things happening on the horizon at the Cathedral!
We are extremely excited to announce that Mr. Aaron Wilson will be returning to the Cathedral as Director of Sacred Music! Mr. Wilson's first day will be February 16th. He is absolutely delighted to be returning to the Cathedral and we are over the moon to have him!
Kaitlynn will be returning to her position as Assistant Director of Music. She is thrilled to have the chance to be working with Mr. Wilson!
Thank you all for your support and prayers as we have navigated this period of transition in the life of our parish. We know that you will help welcome Mr. Wilson with open arms and hearts and we cannot wait to see what great things God has in store for the future of the music program at SJB!
