Spooky Shadows, Socrates, and the Science of Reading: Part One

This was published by one of Walnut Hill's gateway teachers!

Spooky Shadows, Socrates, and the Science of Reading: Part One The science of reading is irrefutable and can light our path. There is no room for escapism or egotism in education, especially when we are dealing with the mind and future of a child. Taking time to evaluate where we are as teachers of reading is key to taking the next step in our journey to sound....

It's a "Penny War!" Next week, buckets will be placed in the elementary library for a full on war. Pennies are positive points and all other coins are negative points. So, if your child puts a quarter in a different grade level's bucket, that grade level will have points taken away from the total. The grade level with most points at the end of the week will win 15 minutes of extra recess. Start saving your change now!

Tomorrow is GREEN DAY. Make sure your child wears green.
