Today, the BioStart Program welcomed the 2019-2020 class of interns. The Southwood High School Biotechnology Magnet Program students who were accepted to participate in BioStart this year learned who their LSU Health Shreveport- School of Graduate Studies mentor would be and received their white coats in front of family, friends, and school leadership. They will officially begin working alongside their mentors on their research projects in August. We wish them the best of luck and can't wait to see their final projects! The LSU Health Sciences Foundation Shreveport, the Biomedical Research Foundation, and other generous partners provide funding for the BioStart Program.
