Founded in 1953, St. Mark’s Cathedral School is an Episcopal school in Shreveport, LA, serving boys and girls from age two through eighth grade. St. Mark’s is a ministry of St. Mark’s Cathedral in the Episcopal Diocese of Western Louisiana.
Mission: The mission of St. Mark’s Cathedral School is to value the individual who comes to us, to help that student to realize his or her potential, and to foster a culture that reflects Christian values, intellectual curiosity, and a strong work ethic. Our goal is to develop a student who first feels self-confident educationally, socially, and spiritually, and can reach out to help others in our community.
Operating as usual

Due to the approach of Hurricane Laura, St. Mark’s Cathedral School will be closed on Thursday, Aug. 27 and Friday, Aug. 28. St. Mark’s will NOT offer virtual learning these two days, given that many parents may lose power and/or internet service.
We will plan to resume school with all activities on Monday, Aug. 31. Preschool school pictures are rescheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 2.
Stay safe and see you soon!
Fifth graders "unraveled a mystery" for their summer reading projects. After reading a selection from The Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew, they presented three-paragraph book reports and "mystery boxes" containing artifacts and pictures relating to the books they read. 🕵️
