Today is Fall Welcome Day! This is an event hosted by the Graduate Student Council and the guest speaker is an alum from one of the five basic science departments in the School of Graduate Studies. This year, the Council has invited back an alum from The Department of Pharmacology, Toxicology, and Neuroscience. Her talk is titled "Leveraging Your Strengths: A Journey from PhD to Project Management". Please join me in welcoming Dr. Delira Robbins back to LSUHS!

Fall Welcome Day will kick off at 2:00 PM in the newly renovated auditorium (1-400). Each department has also chosen a student to showcase their work in a short presentation. Anthony Domma, a senior student in Dr. Jeremy Kamil's lab, will represent the Department of Microbiology and Immunology in a talk titled "Role of AKT-FOXO axis during human cytomegalovirus infection". Good luck, Anthony!

There will also be a pizza party outside of the Student Union to wrap up everything!
