This is the first year in my 20 years of teaching that I was not able to hand these awards directly to the winners. I hope you all realize that this does not diminish these awards in any way! Congratulations to all of the winners!
Dear Parents, Guardians, Friends, and Families,
I hope you are healthy and taking all precautions to keep everyone out of harm’s way.
The unprecedented and abrupt closure of school has left everyone, teachers included, with more questions than we have answers. The situation is fluid and changing day by day, but rest assured that we are working hard to continue your child’s education (music and otherwise) with as little disruption as possible.
As our school and district work their way through the uncertainty, please know that I will continue to communicate information, not just as it relates to our program, but as it relates to the entire school community. We know that our program has long been a trusted source of information, and we promise to honor that trust moving forward.
As we work through the complexities of an online instructional world, I hope that you will take some time every day to create or listen to some music each and every day. Music has been shown to lower stress and anxiety levels, and if there is EVER a time when we need our stress levels reduced, it is now!
Lastly, you have all heard me say that our program is more than a class — it’s a family. And families help one another. If there is anything I can do to be of service during these difficult times, I stand ready, able, and willing.
Hang in there, and if possible, remind your child to practice every once in a while. If nothing else, it will get them out from under your feet and off electronics for a little while.
Stay safe, and I will be in touch as more information becomes available.
Sincerely,
Mr. Linko

Wear tennis shoes with socks.
Attendance is absolutely mandatory all week. If you miss a rehearsal, you may lose your spot on the field.

We finish at 2:30pm all week.
Let's have a great week and rock this season!
BTW - tomorrow will be Superhero day!!

John Williams Greets Young Musicians Playing STAR WARS Theme Outside His House | Nerdist Before we get into how heartwarming and great this video is, it might be worth pointing out that figuring out where an idol of yours lives, showing up there, and then serenading him or her is a supremely risky move! Just because it worked for Lloyd Dobler doesn't mean the success rate is 100 percent...
