Estimados Miembros, Hola!
Dear friends, here is Dr. Ana Ganeva from Veliko Tarnovo University, Bulgaria! I am here in residence as a Fulbright scholar in music at the University of Washington, working with Professor Patricia Shehan Campbell. Our interest is in knowing how heritage music from European cultures is carried on in families with recent or past histories in “the old world”. We are studying musical enculturation, and thus it is our desire to understand how songs, instrumental music, stories, and various other cultural language are featured in family gatherings, perhaps every day or on seasonal holidays. The Ethnic Cultural Heritage Center of Seattle has been helpful in growing our network of persons who might respond to this survey, as well as other cultural organizations. We are not interested in names of individuals (so please note that the first question is optional) but rather in the activities within communities that are fostering music and cultural heritage. I need to contacts with Spanish people, who would like to fill in my questionnaire survey. May be you have contacts with some colleagues and folklore or dance clubs you could contact me. If someone is interested in the survey, could text me through FB and I could send the survey. I really appreciate your support ! Dr. Ana Ganeva
