Why suffer attending a crowded class when the good doctor will come to you to help set up, review what you have done, and train you one-on-one and answer your questions.
Known as "Dr QuickBooks & Quicken" of Greater Seattle, Keith Gormezano makes house calls in a "gas-guzzling" Prius to help support and train small businesses and individuals learn how to properly manage their financial records in accounting and bookkeeping software (PC or Mac, desktop, online, or hosted). I am an Advanced Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor (desktop and online) with additional current certification in Intuit's Point of Sale and Enterprise Solutions software and named as one of the Top 100 ProAdvisors in the world in 2019, 2018, 2017, 2016, 2015, and 2014 by Insightful Accountant formerly Intuitive Accountant. I have been certified in Intuit product lines since 2007. I have 53 five-star reviews on the Intuit Find a ProAdvisor website, 14 on LinkedIn, 17 on Yelp, five on Angie’s List, the Better Business Bureau, and Facebook, and three on Thumbtack, Google, and Nextdoor. I fix your financial aches and pains by setting up your small business or personal finances in the above accountant, bookkeeper, and financial management oriented programs, review what you have created or how they input their data (doing it yourself doesn't always mean you did it right), or train you how to use it to make your lives easier. Common problems that I solve include cleaning up the mistakes that DIY business owners frequently make, online bank feeds, payroll including setting up workers compensation in WA and union payroll, tracking and paying sales tax and business and occupation tax, adding accounts, backing up, inventory, credit card processing and payments, creating meaningful reports, mapping your accounts to appropriate tax lines, creating invoices, receiving payments, depositing them correctly, and customizing your program including the forms you use. I also provide QuickBooks software (Pro, Premier, and Mac) at my cost as well as QuickBooks Online at up to 50% off the first year, Point of Sale, or Enterprise including the version with Advanced Inventory and free enhanced payroll at up to 20% off off Intuit’s price with an approved no monthly fee or minimum merchant account. E-mail me at [email protected] with a description of your issues, the year and version of your software, and your complete contact information. Please feel free to call me at 206-789-8328 if you don't hear back in 24 hours. I encourage you to visit my website first for a comprehensive list of my services and rates and to get ideas of what you need help with.

This month, the Small Business Administration consulted with the U.S. Treasury Dept to answer FAQs aimed at helping #PPP loan borrowers navigate maximum loan forgiveness. Read answers to these questions and more:
- How do I determine which payroll cycles are included in PPP loan forgiveness?
- How do I calculate non-payroll costs for PPP forgiveness?
- How do I calculate PPP forgiveness if I had a reduction in workforce or wages?
What has your experience been as a PPPLoan borrower? Do you feel that the regulations are clear? Many of my clients don't.
[07/31/20] Use QuickBooks Online? One of the best tricks to cut down on QuickBooks Online issues is to set up a different profile (person) in your chrome browser. I have one just for QuickBooks. I only do QBO stuff in there with hardly have any issues. If I do, a simple clearing of just that browser profile fixes it.

Email marketing is an incredibly powerful way to reach new clients. A common question is "Is cold emailing legal?".
The short answer is, under the CAN-SPAM Act, yes. There are some stipulations that are important, however.
1. Don't use deceptive information
This includes mainly things like subject lines and from/to lines.
2. Allow the user to opt-out and honor those requests promptly
Everyone needs an opportunity to decline further emails.
3. Include a valid postal address
This is probably the easiest one to miss. A physical address must be present on the email. This can be your business address or even a post office box.
One thing to note is that the above stipulations are required only if you are sending a "commercial" (mostly marketing) email. If you are sending an email regarding a transaction between you and the recipient, then the CAN-SPAM Act requirements do not apply. Use QuickBooks Online and have American Express Connected. You should update your connection to keep your American Express transactions flowing into QuickBooks.
To ensure that you continue to receive transactions from American Express into QuickBooks, please complete the steps outlined below.
Note: Only the primary account owner of the American Express Card will be able to update to the new connection:
1. Sign in to QuickBooks Online.
2. Go to the Banking menu. Confirm that all downloaded transactions in American Express credit cards have been matched or added to the account.
3. Select the Update Connection in the banner.
4. Select Continue and sign in to your American Express account.
5. Follow the onscreen steps. In the COA dropdown, make sure the account you use to track American Express transactions in your QuickBooks chart of accounts is selected. This should be the same account you used before.
6. Select Connect.
Now your American Express connection is up-to-date.
You're ready to get back to business.
Please note: Once you update your new connection, any changes made through your old connection - American Express' Connect to QuickBooks - will not reflect in QuickBooks Update Now
Are you still using a QuickBooks 2017 version? You may be impacted by the May 31st "QuickBooks Sunset."
Each year, Intuit “sunsets” an older version of QuickBooks Desktop. This means that certain features of the software will no longer function or be supported by QuickBooks. QuickBooks versions 2018, 2019, and 2020 will continue to be supported.
As an Advanced Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor, I always provide help, support, problem-solving, and training in older versions to my clients. I believe that small business owners should have a choice.
The QuickBooks Sunset on May 31 2020 will affect these 2017 versions of Intuit Desktop Software:
• QuickBooks Desktop Pro
• QuickBooks Desktop Premier (General Business, Contractor, Manufacturing & Wholesale, Nonprofit, Professional Services, and Retail)
• QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions (General Business, Contractor, Manufacturing & Wholesale, Nonprofit, Professional Services, and Retail)
• QuickBooks Desktop Accountant
If you're using one of these 2017 versions of QuickBooks your basic software features will continue to work, but you will lose the following functionalities and services on May 31:
• Intuit QuickBooks Support* - Intuit will no longer provide support for 2017 products either in the form of updates, or requests for technical support
• QuickBooks desktop payroll services (Assisted, Basic, Standard, Enhanced, Workers Comp Payment Service, and View My Paycheck)
• Online backup via Intuit backup services
• Online banking via 'Bank-feeds'
• Critical security updates (no scheduled release or push updates)
• Credit Card Processing (including automatic credit card billing and terminal download) via Intuit Payment Services
• Check processing via Intuit Payment Services
• Accountant’s Copy File Transfer (ACFT) service
• Multi-currency/Exchange Rate Updates
• Bill Pay via Intuit Payment offerings
• Intuit Payment Network related services of any type
To preserve these functionalities and add-on services, you must upgrade to a newer version of the applicable software.
You can get QuickBooks Pro, Premier, or Mac (if using 2016) through me at my cost which is less than Amazon with an Intuit merchant account through me.
If you do not use any of the QuickBooks add-on services listed above or require live technical support, you can continue to use your 2017 version.
Remember, May 31, 2020 is the date upon which Intuit will 'Sunset' QuickBooks 2017 Desktop products. Don't let it sneak up on you if you require add-on services (like Payroll) that will stop working on that date.
* - Exception for QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions with a 'Support Plan' - You will continue to have access to Enterprise support until the expiration of your current support plan.
To ensure functionality and uninterrupted service, I recommend that you install the latest version of Enterprise Solutions by May 31.

I could even use it for clients who ask for help, support, training, & classes about how to set up their business books, review what they have done, help them clean up their books & problems including inventory and payroll, tutor and train them and their staff. https://www.entrepreneur.com/article/349574

Are you paying the following for an annual QuickBooks Enterprise Legacy subscription that you bought before September 2014 for 1-30 users (blue columns)?
Let me $ave you some money by switching you to a regular subscription (yellow column). I can also offer you monthly for financial flexibility.
All come with basic inventory and advanced reporting features, onsite data backup, US-product and technical based support, free training, and next year's version when it comes out each year, usually in September.
Two come with additional benefits like free enhanced DIY payroll for unlimited employees and three EINs or separate companies with direct deposit.
One comes with advanced inventory for tracking multiple warehouse or storage sites, serial or lot numbers, ability to turn on FIFO and enhanced receiving, and bar codes.
If you don't want to switch, let me confirm that you are using the right version, options to host or self-host if you are currently using a hosting provider, number of licenses, payroll and credit card processing options, and the features you are or aren't using.
My offer (yellow column) can save you up to 20% for LIFE (yours, not mine) off Intuit's regular price on 1-10 licenses and 12.5% on 11-30 users.
The savings are in the green column. You have to go through me and get an Intuit merchant account through me if you are eligible to get these savings.
Or you can stick your head in the sand and continue to pay more. The choice is yours. Contact me at [email protected]

Wi-Fi precautions today:
• Don't use free public Wi-Fi hotspots, such as those provided by coffee shops or airports. They are often insecure and targeted by cyber-criminals.
• Instead of using public Wi-Fi hotspots, use your mobile device's personal hotspot. It's far more secure and several mobile providers are providing unlimited data at this time.
• Don't connect to any unknown Wi-Fi network or accept an unknown peer-to-peer connection request.
• Turn off your device's Bluetooth visibility when you're not using it and permanently disable the feature that allows your phone or laptop to automatically connect to available Wi-Fi networks. This protects your device from automatically connecting to malicious networks. It may also save battery life.
• If you need to remotely access your work computer, use a virtual private network (VPN).
