Tate & Lyle in the Community has been an integral part of ensuring that School District 54 students begin their day ready to learn through their contributions to the breakfast program over the past three years. During these unprecedented times, the need to assist District 54 students and families continues to grow every day. We are grateful for Tate & Lyle’s commitment to support student success and well-being this year by donating $10,000 to fund and restock District 54 food pantries. This donation comes at a crucial time as the district’s pantries were emptied at the end of last school year in order to distribute food to students and their families critically affected by the pandemic.

We are so grateful to Tate & Lyle for their long-term support.

Good news! We've renewed our partnership with Enders-Salk Elementary School and District 54 Education Foundation for the fourth year in a row. Not only have we supported our adopted school and its students with breakfasts through their Food 4 Thought Program, and now their Food Pantry Program, but we're also happy to be part of their learning and fun! From nutrition lessons and planting in the garden to judging their school science fair, our volunteers have been there for students in person, and will continue to be there for them virtually! #ImprovingLivesforGenerations #tateandlyleinthecommunity

We are grateful to the individuals and businesses who have contributed to the Foundation’s Crisis Fund. Your donations have directly impacted the lives of many District 54 families.

To date, the Foundation has distributed nearly $40,000 to provide groceries, transportation, remote learning assistance and other essential needs to families facing financial hardships due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

During these challenging times, the need to support these District 54 students and families continues to grow every day; although the circumstances in which the Crisis Fund was established were extreme and unparalleled, the fund is not temporary or exclusive to combating the sufferings of COVID-19. The Foundation plans to keep this fund growing in hopes that we can continue to provide financial assistance to students and families for years to come.

To be a part of our mission in supporting District 54 students, donate to the Crisis Fund today: https://d54foundation.org/donate/crisis-fund/. Make sure to choose “Please use my gift for the Crisis Fund” when making your secure online donation.

The first day of school for most School District 54 students is Monday, August 24. Although the start of this school year is unlike any other, we are excited to see all of the creativity and accomplishment to come out of each and every class.

We are also confident in every teacher's ability to support academic achievement, promote social-emotional well-being and cultivate innovation in this new and unique learning space, all while helping to keep our students healthy, safe, engaged, supported and challenged.

Although each school provides numerous avenues of support for their students, we have many families in our community who need additional assistance to navigate through this new way of living and learning.

Please consider donating to the Foundation's Crisis Fund; all donations will be used to provide immediate access to financial assistance for struggling District 54 families.

Hoffman Estates Chamber of Commerce & Industry

Thank you Hoffman Estates Chamber of Commerce & Industry for your constant support of our students. We are so grateful for the donations and supplies we receive through this program. We cannot wait to share it all with our students!

Tools For Success Program

We are incredibly grateful and undoubtedly proud of every School District 54 teacher for not only completing another successful school year, but for stepping up to the plate, persevering through and championing what has been one of the most abnormal, challenging school years.

From the 100+ new teachers who never anticipated their first year to be THIS trying, to our 35-year veterans who didn’t expect to retire without a real goodbye to their students, they supported academic achievement, promoted social-emotional success and cultivated innovation in a very new and unique learning space, all while helping to keep our students healthy, safe, engaged, supported and challenged.

To honor one of these District 54 champion teachers, you can make a donation to the Foundation in their name; these teachers will also receive a certificate. To do so, visit https://d54foundation.org/donate/ and choose "THANKS."

A HUGE thank you to the 250+ donors who have contributed nearly $28,000 to our Student Crisis Support Fund. Since the closure of schools, the Foundation, in partnership with school social workers, has been able to support over 120 of our financially struggling families.

As the school year comes to an end, we want to reassure our families that we will still be here to support you over the summer months. If you are a District 54 family in need of financial support, please contact your school's social worker.

If you would like to contribute to this fund, visit d54foundation.org/donate and choose "Crisis Fund."

Every year the Foundation proudly offers memorial scholarship grants for students in early childhood through seventh grade to cultivate an academic, cultural or athletic interest to enrich their educational opportunities. Historically, these grants are intended for summer extracurriculars but given the current worldly circumstances, grants can be used for participation in programs/activities during the 2020-2021 school year. The Foundation was pleased to award more than $34,000 in grants to all 352 students who applied this year.

These grants are funded, in part, through contributions received in honor of individuals who have passed away. If you would like to contribute to this fund in honor of a loved one, visit https://d54foundation.org/donate/ and choose “in direct grants to students.”

With the current stay-at-home order in effect until at least the end of the month and keeping the safety and well-being of our sponsors, golfers and volunteers in mind, the District 54 Education Foundation has postponed the 23rd Annual Golf Outing to Monday, August 10, 2020. We hope that by then we will all be able to safely come together to benefit the students and families of District 54.

Thank you to all of our already committed sponsors, we are appreciative of your dedication to the success of our students. We hope that those who have already registered to golf are able to join us on our new date. Throughout the summer and in the weeks preceding our event, we will continue to keep you updated on the logistics of the outing.

To become a sponsor or to register for golf, visit d54foundation.org/golf-outing.

Stay safe, stay healthy, stay positive!
