Today my fiancee and I visited the church for the first time. The sermon was extremely fulfilling. Thank you pastor but we were taken back by the lack emotion during worship. You have to open up to the Lord, be greatful and praise Him for all He has done for us. To me I come to church to worship Him. Worship is the meal and the sermon is the dessert. No excitment to worship concerned us. But the pastor will bring us back next week. Great service overall.
To Pastor Robert Field , and all Pastors whom are disciples of Christ that are from the Bethel Baptist church in Chicago, After reading quotations from Pastor Robert Field regarding Sunday worship being the Lords day of rest or being the Sabbath Day according to Scripture in the Bible. Please, In the word of God the (Holy Bible) where doe's this passage say, that Sunday is even once mentioned being the LORD'S Sabbath?. The Ten Commandments were as you know, given to Moses on the Mount of Sinai as an instruction to the people of Israel whom GOD chose as his chosen people. Genesis Ch: 17 VERSUS 1-8 Where God confirms his covenant with Abram (Abraham). GOD explained to Abraham what would happen to his descendants, Genesis Ch: 15 VERSES 13-16. The Exodus from Egypt delivered GOD'S people through Moses, Exodus 14 VERSUS 14 -18. Dear friends then we read and observe in scripture that GOD lead the Israelite's through the Miracle of the parting of the Red Sea Exodus CH:14 Versus 15-31.A song of Deliverance, Manna and Quail from Heaven narrates the Importance of the Sabbath Day, Exodus CH:16 Verse's 21-31 Illustrates the very day The LORD GOD set aside the seventh day as his Holy Day of rest, important verse in Exodus CH:16 VS 29, The Israelite's were, as we know in the wilderness for forty years, and for forty years the Israelite's with God's Authority Kept the fourth Commandment of GOD. Exodus CH: 20 VS 8 .Remember to observe the Sabbath day by keeping it Holy. Also read Exodus CH:23 VS 12. To this very day the Israelite's keep the correct Sabbath day. Consider JESUS our LORD has a discussion In regards to the Sabbath, Luke CH: 6 Verse's 1-5, JESUS proclaims to be The Lord of the Sabbath. JESUS we obviously know was Jew, a Israelite. Our Lord JESUS unreservedly observed the seventh day begins Friday at sundown, through to Saturday at sundown, being the Sabbath day Set aside as a HOLY day in accordance with the 4th Commandment of GOD. There is nowhere in scripture The Holy Bible say's that the Sabbath was changed from Friday sunset to Saturday sunset, to keeping Sunday as a Sabbath,!! JESUS himself was with the children of Israel as they were in the wilderness. JESUS IS THE I AM that wrote the TEN commandments with his finger into the stone tablet. The Lord of the Sabbath and the Saviour of our Sins. I beseech you Bethel Baptist Church To read and pray for the truth of Jesus Christ and the true Sabbath of the Lord. Time is drawing nigh when Jesus 2nd coming is at hand and he will come like a thief in the night .. God Bless you Robert Field and your flock from a brother of the faith of JESUS my LORD..
Amen, and Glory be to the Great redeemer
I am praying for you, brothers and sisters, that God's grace and mercy would be known in wide measure, with the result that The congregation of Bethel might know greater love and unity in Christ and His truth. May God give wisdom and unity of purpose and direction for His glory. Much love is sent your way from Cambodia!

"You did not receive a spirit of slavery that returns you to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship, by whom we cry, “Abba! And if we are children, then we are heirs: heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ—if indeed we suffer with Him, so that we may also be glorified with Him."

3 Things We Must Believe about God’s Word 10/16/2021

3 Things We Must Believe about God’s Word

“The trustworthiness of the Scriptures lies at the foundation of trust in the Christian system of doctrine, and is therefore fundamental to the Christian hope and life.” These words from Benjamin B. Warfield highlight just how important the doctrine of inerrancy is for the church. Abandon it, and the entire Christian system of doctrine now rests on a shaky foundation.

3 Things We Must Believe about God’s Word In Psalm 119 we see at least three essential, irreducible characteristics we should believe about God’s word.

"Community is a declaration of the overwhelming love of God, a tangible proclamation of the reconciling work of the cross. This is a truly compelling reason to build community groups within our churches. This is the bigger purpose that can inspire real community.

Community groups are a living illustration of the gospel and its power to save. The world needs this, and so does your church.”*

Bethel is dedicated to launching new Community Groups. Trained and engaged leaders are so important for the success of these groups. Our goal is to see Community Groups multiply to the point that all of our members can find one within minutes of their home.

This 6 session Fall Training Series will be intentional, equipping, and encouraging. If you are interested in hosting a group in your home, leading a group, or co-leading a group, please attend this 6 session training series. All materials are provided.

This Training Series begins NEXT WEDNESDAY 6-7pm.

How to Beat Post-Traumatic COVID Disorder

“You have hope. Comfort them and share the Christ that can take away the fear of death. Cook a casserole for a lonely neighbor. Write a card. Call or send a text. Pray fervently and often.”

How to Beat Post-Traumatic COVID Disorder COVID is not going away anytime soon. Politicians promise solutions they can’t deliver. No one can predict the future. But we CAN control our behaviors and our attitudes. We can act like Christians. So, how do we start?

Romans 8 has long been titled, "the greatest chapter in the Bible." One author has said, “The greatest book in the world is the Bible; the greatest letter in that book is Romans; and the greatest chapter in that letter is chapter 8.”

And that’s because Romans 8 connects real theology to real-world stuff. To real life. The sovereign God who rules over all people … and all things… at all times… in all places … is working in all events for the good of His people. That's amazing grace for real life!

Join us this Sunday @ 10:30am as we begin our fall Series on Romans 8.
