Today my fiancee and I visited the church for the first time. The sermon was extremely fulfilling. Thank you pastor but we were taken back by the lack emotion during worship. You have to open up to the Lord, be greatful and praise Him for all He has done for us. To me I come to church to worship Him. Worship is the meal and the sermon is the dessert. No excitment to worship concerned us. But the pastor will bring us back next week. Great service overall.
To Pastor Robert Field , and all Pastors whom are disciples of Christ that are from the Bethel Baptist church in Chicago, After reading quotations from Pastor Robert Field regarding Sunday worship being the Lords day of rest or being the Sabbath Day according to Scripture in the Bible. Please, In the word of God the (Holy Bible) where doe's this passage say, that Sunday is even once mentioned being the LORD'S Sabbath?. The Ten Commandments were as you know, given to Moses on the Mount of Sinai as an instruction to the people of Israel whom GOD chose as his chosen people. Genesis Ch: 17 VERSUS 1-8 Where God confirms his covenant with Abram (Abraham). GOD explained to Abraham what would happen to his descendants, Genesis Ch: 15 VERSES 13-16. The Exodus from Egypt delivered GOD'S people through Moses, Exodus 14 VERSUS 14 -18. Dear friends then we read and observe in scripture that GOD lead the Israelite's through the Miracle of the parting of the Red Sea Exodus CH:14 Versus 15-31.A song of Deliverance, Manna and Quail from Heaven narrates the Importance of the Sabbath Day, Exodus CH:16 Verse's 21-31 Illustrates the very day The LORD GOD set aside the seventh day as his Holy Day of rest, important verse in Exodus CH:16 VS 29, The Israelite's were, as we know in the wilderness for forty years, and for forty years the Israelite's with God's Authority Kept the fourth Commandment of GOD. Exodus CH: 20 VS 8 .Remember to observe the Sabbath day by keeping it Holy. Also read Exodus CH:23 VS 12. To this very day the Israelite's keep the correct Sabbath day. Consider JESUS our LORD has a discussion In regards to the Sabbath, Luke CH: 6 Verse's 1-5, JESUS proclaims to be The Lord of the Sabbath. JESUS we obviously know was Jew, a Israelite. Our Lord JESUS unreservedly observed the seventh day begins Friday at sundown, through to Saturday at sundown, being the Sabbath day Set aside as a HOLY day in accordance with the 4th Commandment of GOD. There is nowhere in scripture The Holy Bible say's that the Sabbath was changed from Friday sunset to Saturday sunset, to keeping Sunday as a Sabbath,!! JESUS himself was with the children of Israel as they were in the wilderness. JESUS IS THE I AM that wrote the TEN commandments with his finger into the stone tablet. The Lord of the Sabbath and the Saviour of our Sins. I beseech you Bethel Baptist Church To read and pray for the truth of Jesus Christ and the true Sabbath of the Lord. Time is drawing nigh when Jesus 2nd coming is at hand and he will come like a thief in the night .. God Bless you Robert Field and your flock from a brother of the faith of JESUS my LORD..
Amen, and Glory be to the Great redeemer
I am praying for you, brothers and sisters, that God's grace and mercy would be known in wide measure, with the result that The congregation of Bethel might know greater love and unity in Christ and His truth. May God give wisdom and unity of purpose and direction for His glory. Much love is sent your way from Cambodia!

God wants the church to be a place of deep and meaningful community. Where we don’t just walk through life together, but where we cheer one another on in this life together.

Through our series on the Holy Spirit, we have seen how Jesus describes the necessity of the Spirit in our lives. We have seen how Paul describes the Spirit’s focus on Jesus and our responsibility to be active in the process of life. This week we will see that the Holy Spirit has been alive and at work even in the Old Testament.

Zechariah 4 will encourage us to trust that God is working to bring about His promises. We need not get discouraged or distracted by obstacles. Our God will do all he has said, both in us and through us. This will be accomplished, “not by might, not by power, but by My Spirit, says the Lord or hosts!” (Zech. 4:6)

Join us at 10:30am Sunday. In-Person or YouTube @ https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCsH2leE-ahugEaaz0P4JFiQ

Usual Wednesday Night Bethel services will return next Wednesday @ 6pm.

It's been said that “He who does not know the Holy Spirit cannot know God at all." That’s why the next several weeks in our study of the Holy Spirit are essential to us as individuals and as a church. See you this Sunday at 10:30am!

It's Wednesday, and that means that we will gather at 6pm for teaching, prayer, and fellowship!

Our children and youth ministries remain in full swing.

Our Adult Bible Study continues as well. Tonight we begin a 4-week study on the importance of church membership. This study isn't crafted only for potential and new church members; it's for those of us who've been church members for years and decades.

Church membership has become a hot-button issue in many churches today. Is church membership biblical? Is it optional or essential for the Christian? And if it's essential, why?

We will be answering these questions during tonight's study. If you would like Zoom info for tonight's study, email [email protected].

This Sunday morning at 9:30am, Wes Dixon will begin a 12-week Summer Series on Discipleship.

One way we could define the work of discipling is: "The intentional encouragement of Christians on the basis of deliberate, loving relationships and training in God’s Word."

There are a lot of key words in that definition. Discipleship is intentional. Discipleship is encouraging. Discipleship is relational. Discipleship is rooted in God's Word. This Summer Series builds on Wes's Fear of Man series. We'll identify obstacles to discipling as well as discuss the role of prayer and helping those who are struggling. You'll be encouraged by the opportunity and joy that accompanies encouraging others in Christ.

What: Discipleship
When: Sunday Mornings, 9:30am

This Sunday morning at 9:30am, Pastor Brandon will begin a 12-week Summer Series on Understanding Biblical Theology.

Biblical theology is the discipline of learning how to read the Bible as one story by one divine author that culminates in the person and work of Christ, so that every part of Scripture is understood in relation to Christ.

It’s a way to read the Bible.

In Luke 24, Jesus, after rising from the dead, met two believers on the road to Emmaus. Jesus offered a crash course Biblical Theology for them. "Was it not necessary that the Christ should suffer these things and enter into his glory?” And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he interpreted to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself.” (Lk 24:26–27)

Understanding the big picture - the unity and progression of the Bible as a whole - will help us make the smaller everyday decisions with more consistency and confidence.

We take time to remember today, and say a prayer of gratefulness for the many who have been willing to pay the greatest price for our freedom.

Thank you for reminding us that there’s incredible love and sacrifice displayed when one is willing to stand strong and fight for freedom.

This service of love and sacrifice on behalf of all people, points us directly to the greatest love of all, the very gift and sacrifice of Christ. Our Savior was willing to pay the ultimate price, so that we can live free. Forever.

May God help us to live so courageously, may we follow the brave examples of those who have gone before us.
