The boot camp for the upcoming April 9 will begin on Saturday, April 1 and will continue through Thursday, April 7. On Saturday, April 1, a full length, previously administered ACT test will be given and scored. The following week will feature four intensive review sessions for each of the subject areas and will incorporate test-taking strategies and tips. Schedule as follows:

Monday: 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. English review and test-taking strategies

Tuesday: 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Math review and test-taking strategies

Wednesday: 4:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. Reading review and strategies

Thursday: 4:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. Science review and strategies

Cost for the practice test and all four review sessions is $75. Individual sessions are $30 each if taken separately.

Space is limited so reserve your spot today! "JUST THE HARD STUFF" math classes will be formed if demand is sufficient. These classes would target just the hardest problems from several previously administered tests.

for
March 21 – Statewide Junior Test Date
April 8 – National Spring Test Date

IMPORTANT NOTE: The academy has recently moved from the location at 45 Baker St (across from HCHS tennis courts). The new location is at 515 Andrews Ln off of County Home Rd in Olivet (call 731-607-8964 or check Facebook for directions).

The boot camp for the junior test date of March 21 will begin on Saturday, March 11 and will continue through Thursday, March 16. On Saturday, March 11, a full length, previously administered ACT test will be given and scored. The following week will feature four intensive review sessions for each of the subject areas and will incorporate test-taking strategies and tips. Schedule as follows:

Monday: 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. English review and test-taking strategies
Tuesday: 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Math review and test-taking strategies
Wednesday: 4:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. Reading review and strategies
Thursday: 4:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. Science review and strategies

Cost for the practice test and all four review sessions is $75. Individual sessions are $30 each if taken separately.

Additionally, if there is enough interest, a special math session will be offered on Sunday afternoon, March 19, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and again on Monday evening, March 20, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. These two special sessions will feature “MATH – just the hard stuff!” and will include the most difficult math problems from multiple previously administered tests. Cost will be $25 per session.

APRIL WORKSHOP WILL FOLLOW THE SAME FORMAT. Practice test will be administered on Saturday, April 1, and follow up review will be the next week. Special “HARD STUFF MATH” classes will form on demand.

Just in case you've driven by and noticed that my sign is down and the building is for sale, here's the deal. Family situation requires me right now. I cannot devote time elsewhere. I will be reopening the academy soon...hopefully by the spring ACT dates, but I will be operating from a classroom we are adding at my home. More information to follow. Please keep my family in your prayers.

It is with deep regret that I am announcing that I will temporarily be unable to offer ACT prep or other classes at the academy due to a family emergency which is requiring my full attention. Hopefully, I will be able to resume classes after the first of the year. Thank you to all of you who have supported me in this venture. I have really enjoyed working with you all and hope to continue to do so in the near future.

Rare upside down rainbow spotted in Mid-South

Follow up boot camp intensive review after school the following week to prepare for the actual ACT to be given on September 10. The boot camp will include an intensive review in all subject areas and will cost $75 for the entire week. Space is limited. Reserve your spot now. Schedule as follows:

Monday - Labor Day - specially scheduled classes (inquire)
Tuesday - English review

Friday - science review

The math and English sessions will last approximately 90 minutes and the science and reading sessions will last approximately 1 hour. If Friday night's ballgame presents a scheduling conflict, let me know and we will try to work it out. Classes will begin at 4:00 p.m. each day. Schedule is subject to change to meet the needs of those registered.

It's LABOR DAY!!! What better way to celebrate than to put all of your labor into raising your ACT math score?!!! SPECIAL "Just the Hard Stuff" math session to be held on Monday, Labor Day, at the academy across from the HCHS tennis courts. The session will begin at 9:00 and end at noon. Review will focus on just the hardest problems from several previously given actual ACT tests. Register now and hold your spot. Cost for this three hour intensive review will be $50. If I have enough interested brave souls, I may consider a second "hard stuff" class on Labor Day afternoon. It will focus on the hard problems from different tests than the morning session. Cost for the afternoon session will also be $50. Let's get this done!

Due to the high demand for ACT math remediation, I will be conducting a third review session in math on Wednesday, June 8, at 10:00 a.m. at the academy across from HCHS. Expect the session to last approximately two and a half hours. Cost for the session is $30. Please note that each of the three review sessions will cover different material from different practice tests.
