Dear Ms. Ann Hsu (San Francisco Unified School District Board of Education). The parents of First Graduate students (the majority of whom are black and brown) are overwhelmingly engaged, involved, and encouraging of their children's commitment to taking on 10-12 years of focused work to become first-generation college graduates. In fact, without family support, the initial years of our program wouldn't be successful. Our families and students work together to succeed. We applaud their deep commitment to education and to ensuring that their students graduate, well-prepared for workforce and career readiness.
