Part of creating healthy habits is about staying positive. Keeping in mind the blessings we are given each day, I want you to create 3 statements, mantras if you will, that will help you maintain that positivity every day and help you achieve your wellness goals!

So, it’s a new year! Everyone will be hitting you up with methods and reasons to begin a transformation and make a change.
Here’s the thing, transformation will only happen when you are ready. You have to make it a lifestyle, a habit, a way of life.
If you’re serious, it only takes 21 days to form new habits. Going to the gym, cutting out sugar, giving up sodas, or eating a salad every day are just a few of the ways to begin healthy habits.

We start by doing one thing each week and add on to the week before.

It’s been a minute! Busy at work helping myself and others be better versions of ourselves. That includes, believe it or not, ridding your life of toxic people. And yes, unfortunately that does means family sometimes. If I’ve learned one thing during this pandemic it’s that we all ah e a choice. Sometimes people want to be miserable and negative in bad situations and others try to see the positive and keep moving. By no means am I discounting the immense loss that has occurred during this time. My heart is deeply wound in the pain of others. However, it’s those that are hurting that usually understand the need to be kinder and gentler because they know pain. It’s the people who choose to inflict their own misery and pain that refuse to choose a better life. If you want to make a change, make positive choices and keep moving. Read each of these carefully and comment if you wish.

In life, there will be days that every curve ball we can imagine will be thrown our way. Some days it may be manageable and won’t seem to phase us. Perhaps we have equipped ourselves with what we needed and not even realized it. But on those days when it seems too much to handle, we can choose to smile and keep moving or we can become moody and bring that into the rest of our day and our relationships. So, here are 7 ways to improve your mood in 5 minutes or less.
1. Listen To Music that Fills your Soul
Don’t be afraid to sing loud and dance if it moves you.
2.Laugh Loud and Hard
Not only is it just fun to laugh but laughter releases dopamine and increases oxygen in our system which helps elevate mood and cools down our stress response resulting in more positive and relaxed feelings.
3.Take a Walk or Just Move
Generally moving and doing something that matches your mood. You may need a quiet slow walk or feel like jamming out and practicing your Zumba moves. Whatever it is, just move.
There a a myriad of studies that prove when we feel less cluttered and disorganized in our life around us, we feel less stressed and overwhelmed.
5. Hug Someone
By stimulating pressure receptors in the skin, stress hormones are lowered, also touching others stimulates oxytocin, resulting in positive effects on our mood. Also rubbing your own forehead, hands, and neck, as self-massage has been shown to decrease heart rate and reduce the stress-hormone cortisol in our systems.
6. What Went Well
Rather than placing all your focus on the negative, try to trace back events or moments of positive interactions or events that initially caused stressed. This can help reframe the even and help you see it in a more positive light.
7. It’s ok to Vent
Allow yourself time to process your stress and the things you are experiencing. When we release the negative instead of holding it in we allow ourselves to move past that emotion and begin fresh.
Don’t allow a bad moment to turn into a bad day or bad day to make you feel like you have a bad life. However if it begins to feel like you can not shake your low moods or find ways to feel better, seek out the help of a professional

[07/10/20] Every BODY and every day is a work in progress. Don’t stop until you’ve reached your goals and not even then. Create new ones.
When your on a reset, sugar is one of the first things you should eliminate, keep your eye on your goals.
My reset begins with a morning mantra....”You can do anything and your are WORTHY” along with tea and a shake and then my fitness routine coupled with some challenges. Debbie Garcia gave a good challenge today...100 sumo squats and 200 abs(your choice). Break it up or do them all at once, but do them. If you’re ready for a reset, DM me.
