Parents, how many glue sticks did you have to buy while back-to-school shopping? Here's an interesting fact about this classroom staple you're stocking up on. It's invention was inspired by lipstick! 💄

In 1960, a German chemist, Wolfgang Dierichs, was on a plane and noticed a woman touching up her lipstick. Seeing how quick, convenient, and not messy it was, Dierichs came up with the idea for the glue stick.
