We have been hurt, ugly words have been said to us. Important people in our life have left us, when we needed them the most.

Let me tell you something, what they did to you, is no reflection of how amazing you are in your core.

Don’t allow that stuff to overtake you and make you an unkind person.

Your issues are yours alone, and you must work through them.

Own them! Make friends with your demons so they no longer scare you.

The sun is setting sooner and days are getting getting shorter. Few things that can help during the “winter blues”

You can get up earlier to enjoy more day. I struggle with that but, it’s an option.

Get out during day hours for a short walk or a few yoga moves. Get the blood flowing. Maybe dance outside. Additionally, just being active helps with depression during these months too. So just move more.

Supplement Vitamin D during the winter. Or add vitamin D rich foods into your diet.
Fatty fish, egg yolks, mushrooms 🍄 (watch for the magic ones lol)
I recommend getting your levels tested to see how much to supplement with.

Enjoy the outside when you can. Natures has a way of grounding and healing.

It’s your favorite plant flourishing. It’s the giggle your kids make. It’s the way your significant other makes your coffee. It’s in the way you feel when your favorite season starts (fall 🍁🍂)

Joy is found in the smallest of things.

I've had more talks with friends and clients about allowing themselves grace in their life.

Society has engrained into our heads about how much we should be doing. How much we should get done in a day before kids get home, before hubby gets home, after we get out of work/school, and even before bed.

We have a list of things that "must" get done, and we feel like failures when we don't. Not only including stuff we have at home, but work, school or even in our social life. What about at the gym?

All these pressures on ourselves, and set expectations for ourself and we get upset and depressed that we didn't get them done. Or that we didn't or haven't lost the 20 lbs we gained in 2020.

Honestly, so the f**k what! We need to forget what society thinks we should do, they don't know our lives.

Hell, I've had to allow myself some grace this year. I'm one person with these big ideas of what I want for myself and my business.

Getting back to work, gym, school or whatever it is, allow yourself some grace. It won't be easy, but you can do it.

We are not all the same, there is no competition against other people for best looking anything. It's your life, it's your marathon you're running. Run it with grace.

Working out, moving your body, should be a celebration of what you can do.

Here is me, doing what I love, lifting weights.

This is my second meet as an olympic weightlifter. Am I going to the Olympics? Highly unlikely, but I do things that support my body, mind and spirit.

I celebrate myself where I am at, even when I'm working towards bigger goals.

Celebrate yourself in every step of a journey.

I'm choose to be happy with me. Happy with my strength, drive, passion.

I'm not where I want to be, but I'm loving the journey along the way.

Sometimes we doubt ourselves in life, work, parenting, friendships. We stretch ourself thin and we don't feel we are enough. Or we don't give enough, and probably we give too much to things/people that don't need it.

Those people/things can be energy vampires, here to suck the life out of you.

I want you to remember you are enough. You are more than enough. You are worthy of all good things!

Wake up every morning and BOLDY state, "I AM ENOUGH!"

Story time…about working through weight loss and being confident where you are. Accepting yourself and allowing for grace during life.

I’ve done a cut (purposeful weight/fat loss), followed by a reverse (safely increasing my calories without weight gain). Both times were 9 weeks each, I’m now cutting for 7 weeks and will reverse before doing a national weightlifting meet.

I can help you set those goals, you must be willing to put in the work for it to happen. I can guide you, but can’t “make” you do it. That’s on you boo-boo but I’m your cheerleader!!

So this has been a long time coming and finally down to the last few things to get the city approval.

My space, wellness center, community support center, kitchen has all been self funded. I signed a lease 1 month before the world went crazy in 2020. I've paid rent on this space for the whole time. I've endured contractors not completing their job and having to hire new contractors to finish it out. Spent hours cleaning, painting, fixing, and all other things needed.

I've created a gift list of things I'd like to have for my space. Some small, some larger. Some are kitchen items, some are items for therapy/selfcare nights.

Right now, how are you feeling? Out of balance, in balance but not firm in everything.

Recently, I got a new tattoo, it basically matches the one on my right wrist. I was feeling out of balance, I needed to balance myself.

Life can knock you out of balance. It can make you feel chaotic, in those moments connect and balance with your breath. Breath in for 4, hold for 4, Breath out for 4, repeat for 4 cycles. Use your breath to calm your spirit and mind. In these moments your mind and body to connect and change the direction of your next step. In that find the balance.
