This Sunday I wanted to share with you some affirmations you can use to build del-esteem. We created also a video where you can learn some techniques to increase your self confidence.

The opinion we have of ourselves is referred to as self-esteem.
We tend to feel good about ourselves and about life in general when we have robust self-esteem. It improves our ability to cope with life's ups and downs.
We tend to see ourselves and our lives in a more negative and critical light when our self-esteem is low. We also believe we are less capable of meeting life's obstacles.

Low self-esteem can be harmful to your mental health and lead to issues like sadness and anxiety.

You can build self-confidence by doing simple things every day like affirmations and other techniques that you can find in my video: https://youtu.be/lVcJF9NBmtE

As we gather with family and friends to celebrate Thanksgiving, it is a natural time to reflect on the things that we are grateful for. And while we often think of gratitude as simply a feeling of happiness or appreciation, recent research has actually shown that gratitude can have surprising benefits for our health and well-being. For example, studies have found that grateful people are more likely to exercise regularly, eat a healthier diet, and get more sleep. They also have lower levels of stress and anxiety and are more resilient in the face of difficulties. In short, gratitude is a powerful tool that can help us lead happier, healthier lives. So this Thanksgiving, let us all take a moment to express our gratitude for the many blessings in our lives.

The weekend is the perfect time to relax and recharge. But it can be hard to slow down and relax when there's so much to do. Thankfully, there are some simple mindfulness practices that can help. One practice is to focus on your breath. Simply sit or lie down in a comfortable position and inhale and exhale slowly and deeply. Another practice is to focus on your senses. Notice the sounds around you, the sensations of your body, the smells in the air, and the things you see. Or, you can try a body scan: focus your attention on different parts of your body, from your head to your toes, noticing any tension or sensations. Just a few minutes of mindfulness can help you feel more relaxed and rejuvenated. So give it a try this weekend!

If you're feeling overwhelmed, it can be helpful to remember the RAIN technique: Recognize what's going on, Allow the experience to be there, Investigate with kindness, and Nurture with self-compassion.

Recognizing what's going on means acknowledging our feelings and giving ourselves permission to feel them. This can be a difficult step, but it's an important one. Once we've recognized our feelings, we can start to Allow them to be there. This doesn't mean that we have to like them or approve of them, but it does mean that we're willing to experience them.

After we've allowed our feelings to be present, we can start to Investigate them with kindness and curiosity. What do they tell us about our needs? What might help us to feel better?

And finally, we can Nurture ourselves with self-compassion. This means treating ourselves with the same kindness and understanding that we would offer to a friend.

When we're able to do this, we'll find that our overwhelm begins to dissipate and we can start to feel better.

A new week brings with it the opportunity to hit the reset button and start fresh. No matter how challenging the previous week was, a new week means you get to start over. This can be a powerful mindset shift that can help improve your mental health.

When you believe in the power of new beginnings, you give yourself the chance to let go of what didn't work and focus on what will. New beginnings are a chance to start again with a clean slate. This doesn't mean that your challenges magically disappear, but it does mean that you have the power to choose how you respond to them. New beginnings can be a powerful reminder that you are not defined by your struggles but by your ability to overcome them. So if you're feeling stuck, remember that a new beginning is just around the corner.

As we age, it's natural for our brain function to decline. However, that doesn't mean that there's nothing we can do to prevent cognitive decline. In fact, there are many simple things we can do to keep our brains healthy and sharp. Here are eight simple ways to revive your brain's health:

1. Use your non-dominant hand: Challenging your brain by using your non-dominant hand can help to improve brain function.

2. Multitask: When you multitask, you force your brain to switch gears rapidly, which can help improve its overall function.

3. Listen to anything that sounds foreign: Listening to unfamiliar sounds can help your brain process information more effectively.

4. Change your route home: Changing up your routine can help to keep your brain engaged and active.

5. Master the sense of smell: The sense of smell is closely linked with memory, so improving your ability to smell can help boost your brainpower.

6. Mirror gaze: looking at yourself in the mirror has been shown to improve self-awareness and cognitive function.

7. Focus on your breathing: Taking a few moments to focus on your breath can help to clear your mind and improve your concentration.

8. Try tongue twisters: Speaking tongue twisters can help to improve coordination between the left and right sides of the brain.

So go ahead and give these new brain-boosting activities a try! You might be surprised at how much they help improve your mental health.

Remember we are here to help you and support your healing process.

In a world that often seems overwhelming, it's important to celebrate the little victories. For many of us, mental health is a daily battle. Every day we wake up and choose to fight, even when it feels like we can't. So when we have a good day, it's important to take a moment to celebrate. Maybe we had a great conversation with a friend or finally accomplished something we've been struggling with.

Whatever it is, big or small, celebrating our victories is an important part of taking care of our mental health. It reminds us that we're capable of good things, even on the days when it feels like everything is against us. So next time you have a good day, take a moment to celebrate your victory. It might just be the thing that gets you through the next tough day.

Stress is a part of life, but when it becomes overwhelming it can have serious consequences for our physical and mental health. One way to help cope with stress is to have a personal crisis plan. This can involve anything from taking a few minutes each day to relax and clear your mind, to having a list of people you can call on for support in times of need. A personal crisis plan can also include identifying your triggers and learning how to avoid or manage them. By taking the time to develop a personal crisis plan, you can be better prepared to deal with Stress when it does occur. This can lead to improved physical and mental health, and a better quality of life overall.

We made a template that you can print out and use as your Personal Crisis Plan. If you want access to it, send us a heart.

Make sure to stop by our channel on YouTube, where we've posted some helpful videos on the subject of mental health.

At some point in our lives, we have all been told to bottle up our emotions and not show weakness. We are taught that it is better to be strong and stoic in the face of adversity. However, recent research has shown that this may not be the best approach. In fact, studies have shown that individuals who embrace their emotions and allow themselves to feel them fully are actually more resilient and adaptable in the face of stress.

Therefore, the next time you are feeling sad or anxious, instead of trying to push those emotions away, try to embrace them. Write down your thoughts and feelings in a journal, and allow yourself to really feel what you are experiencing. Keep in mind that there is no such thing as a bad emotion โ€“ all emotions are valid and deserve to be acknowledged.

However, if you find yourself getting overwhelmed by your emotions, donโ€™t hesitate to reach out for help from a friend or professional. The most important thing is to not pile up your emotions until they become too much to bear. By acknowledging and embracing your emotions, you will actually be better equipped to deal with stress and adversity.

Remember that it's ok to ask for help. We are here for you to support your healing process. Together, we can get through anything.
