[03/02/20] Today is Xavier's birthday and he would be 64 year's old. It's bittersweet to imagine where his life would be today as his future looked so bright before it was tragically cut short. We are happy and hopeful that the scholarships we have awarded have assisted others to a bright and beautiful present and future. So happy birthday Xavier, and if we may ask, please think of him and do something kind for someone today in his honor!
Are you an Amazon shopper? If you are and will be making a purchase today or tomorrow, please think of doing it through smile.amazon.com and choosing us as your charity of choice. Today and tomorrow, Amazon is upping their charitable contribution and will donate 5% of the purchase price. This doesn't cost you a penny but will help us to continue our scholarship funds to deserving students. Please share this with your friends. THANK YOU!
A word from Danny Lopez - XHLSF Board President:
Could I take a minute of your time to publicly thank some wonderful people? As you know, I am on the Board of the Xavier H Lopez Scholarship Fund. You have been a large part of its success through your amazing donations to the Fund. However, a secret is the fantastic Board which works very diligently to make things happen for the fund. These are very special people who travail with no reward. These awesome ones are Cindy Silguero Gaytan Vice-President, Maria Teresa Lopez secretary, Melissa Valdez Treasurer, Margaret Luna Director, David Torres Director, Helen Lloyd Director and Denise Cadena Director. Nothing would happen without these great Board members! Thanks so much for your work in helping young people receive a quality education; and thank you for taking the time to read this. Would you do me a favor? When you see one of these people, would you thank them for the wonderful work that they do? Thanks again!!

[03/29/17] Many of you have had the kindness to support the Xavier H. Lopez Scholarship Fund in the past. The Board of Directors wishes to thank you for your help in aiding students at Holy Cross High School. I'd like to announce that the Scholar-Elect for the 2017-2018 has been chosen. Her name is Alyssa Patino. With this award, the Scholarship will go well over $30,000 in tuition awards given to Holy Cross students in the last 26 years. Thank you so much; we could not do this without your kind assistance. The Board looks forward to working with you in aiding more students and their families. Shake Down the Thunder!
Today, you would have turned 61. Happy Birthday Xavier! What a beautiful legacy you've left behind. You're family is so wonderful. Not only your children, Harmony and Brian, but your grand kids as well. I can't help but rejoice clandestinely whenever I see them. You will live on through them. Congrats!
You would be happy and amazed at how you also are remembered through your parents vision. The fantastic Board of the XHLSF has managed to allot almost $30,000 in scholarships in your name to deserving students at Holy Cross.
Life is strange, but, even with all the good that we've tried to make of your passing, you are still unbelievably missed ... every single day. Thirty-six years has passed in a heart beat. Happy B'day!

[03/02/16] Today would have been Xavier's 60th birthday, I often think and wonder what he would be doing today if his life wasn't taken from him. If only for today, please help celebrate his birthday by being present while driving. Please refrain from texting, drinking and driving or being an aggresive driver. People love you and the other people on the road, make it home today for them.
