We made some yummy gingerbread men and bears today after reading the books “The Gingerbread Man” and “The Gingerbread Bear.”
They were devastated to find out that in both books they were eaten in the end, yet when they made their own gingerbread men and bears they understood why the stories ended the way they did, Yum! 😋 ❤️💚🧸

Yesterday, I grabbed a cantaloupe out of the fruit bowl for breakfast. 🍈 Immediately, the kids exclaimed that they didn’t like it. 🤦🏾♀️ I knew that wasn’t true because we have cantaloupe twice a week. 😂 In their defense, it’s normally precut. I asked them why they didn’t like it. They mentioned that it was bumpy and had lines everywhere. It was the perfect opportunity to discuss not judging something by how it looks and how important what’s inside matters. 🥰 Needless to say, they devoured half a cantaloupe. It was legit the sweetest cantaloupe we’ve had to date. 😋

Yesterday we did a germ experiment and learned how to wash them away with soap and water by using glitter as our "germs". The students had fun learning a song about washing their germs and later colored some cartoon germ coloring sheets!

Yesterday our friends helped us cook breakfast and lunch. We learned how to share, how to help, and how to be a friend. We played a matching name game to learn names and friends faces, and had fun playing outside and enjoying the beautiful weather! We cannot wait to see what is in store today! 🦋♥️
