Camp Invention will take place this summer, June 27th-30th at Seitz Middle School.
This is available for First through Sixth grade students.
We have $3,400 in scholarship money to allocate to Riverview students.
Scholarship funds will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis to children with financial need who have not already registered for the program.

Did you know you can help Forest Parent Club just by doing your shopping at Kroger with your Rewards Card? BUT did you know you have to do this every April?!
Go to Kroger.com & sign in or sign up your reward card. Then go to Community Rewards & select an organization. You may search for Forest or enter our code, 90910. In year's past we have earned a couple hundred dollars a year! This year, with forgetting to remind those to re-apply last April, we only earned $86.00 (better than nothing) but if you are shopping there already, kill two birds with one stone!!! Our kids & school thank you!

Thank you to all that came out to the Library's Bingo for Books event last night! We gave away thirteen of the newest Wimpy Kid book and over 30 Scholastic Fair Book certificates.
In return, YOU raised over $400 for Mrs. Frattarelli's Library!
Also a big Thank You to those that volunteered to help with the event!

Hello Parents!!! Couple things...
1. The PC meeting had to be changed to this coming Thursday, Jan 14th at 6:30 in the Forest library due to the conflict with Sietz's conferences.
2. A Carnival planning meeting will be held immediately after the PC meeting on Thursday to discuss ideas for the Carnival which is planned for March 11th.
3. Book Bingo is coming up on Jan 29th! Please reserve your spot for this fun event by returning the flyer sent home! Also if you have any books laying around, please consider donating them!
4. A 5th grade parent meeting is planned for January 27th at 6:30 in the Forest Library. Information will be sent home on this! This is to discuss the year end activities & memory book. This is for current 5th grade parents only.

Holidays in Whoville is approaching fast, Friday from 6-8pm. Parent Club is still in need of volunteers for crafts, bake sale & more! We also need homemade or store bought baked goods to sell at the bake sale! If we don't get enough volunteers, we will be cutting back on the crafts the kids are making as presents for family members!

The Girls On The Run program that is sponsored by the YMCA that is taking place at our school is endangered of being cancelled by this Wednesday due to low enrollment. If anyone was still interested in signing up their daughter I urge them to do so. The first day was today and it seems like a great program.

National Night Out (NNO) – Forest Block Party
Sponsored by the Riverview Forest Neighborhood Watch.
National Night Out is a cohesive effort to promote involvement in crime prevention activities, police-community partnerships, neighborhood camaraderie and send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
The date is Saturday August 1st with rain date of August 2nd.
The location is at the Forest Elementary School school yard.

The event will start at 1 PM and run to 7 PM.
Come out and meet your neighbors from around the Forest.
There will be food, DJ entertainment, field games, bouncy house, and crime prevention and safety seminars from the Riverview Police and Fire Departments. There will be booths with products and services from local and national alarm/security companies.
Bring a lawn chair. Coolers are welcome with NON-Alcoholic beverages.
The Forest Elementary School will be open during the event for people to use the restrooms, drinking fountains, and activities in the gym. The alarm/security companies will have booths in the gym.
There will be food, beverages, Riverview Forest Neighborhood Watch decals and yard signs for sale. 50/50 raffles. Bring cash as no credit cards accepted and no ATM on premises.
