Church Hill Academy Basketball's Coach Tim May: "Christopher Newport University won their regular season and conference championship tournament last year and finished the year ranked in the top 5 in the country in NCAA Division III. St. Thomas Aquinas College, a Division II powerhouse program, is in the top 10 in winning percentage over the last 8 years of all NCAA basketball programs; that's of all Division I, II, and III colleges and universities."

Fall is almost here, and our friends over at Legacy Farm are busy transitioning the farm for the new season! The team is inviting CHA students and families out this Saturday from 9:00AM–12:30PM. Pick up some plants, share some seedlings of your own, and sow into the farm's future year. No RSVP or experience required; young children welcome!

Students at non-profit learning entrepreneurship skills using indoor farm units Students at Church Hill Academy are learning how to farm in a non-traditional way through the non-profit called “CHAT.” They’re teaming up with Dominion Energy to maintain an indoor farm with unique technology from Babylon Micro Farms.

Panelists provided information about their respective organizations, shared their 'why' for becoming a member, and answered students' questions. Church Hill Academy student selected for weeklong leadership academy in Greece

Church Hill Academy student selected for weeklong leadership academy in Greece Scholar-athlete Javon A. Brooks will spend a summer week in Athens, Greece, building his leadership skills.

Earlier this month, College & Career Advisor/Cheer Squad Coach Brittany Andrews took Zakhia and Rondell (seniors), Tanique (sophomore), and Malachi (freshman) on a tour of her alma mater, Deleware State University. CHA students participated in an admissions presentation and were special guests for DSU’s virtual open house, and members of our Church Hill Academy Cheerleaders performed for student representatives.

Our students also had the opportunity to visit the airway science department and learn about their aviation program. Three of them took a discovery flight with program staff and even got to fly the plane for a few minutes!

Thanks to the Greater Hampton Roads Alumni Chapter of Delaware State University for sponsoring this trip!
