For those of you not handling the isolation very well.
It is human nature to be social. The idea that we are essentially “grounded” can be painful. It is the feeling many us had when we were teenagers and told “no phone, no going out, no seeing friends, you’re grounded”.
Many people have been on social media who hadn’t been in years. Many started playing games on Zoom with friends, many others are in panic mode or even anxious. There is a lot of grief about not being able to see people or go out.
Our brains want us to distract ourselves from sitting with this feeling. It isn’t pleasant but I do know the sooner we realize it’s not permanent, the sooner we realize we won’t be alone forever, the sooner it may stop hurting.
Maybe we can see it as a time to prepare ourselves to be our best version of us, stronger when we come out on the other side of this.
You don’t have to go through this alone. Call a friend, FaceTime a loved one. Find support.
You can also connect with a coach. I can help you figure out how to use this time appropriately for you. I can hold space for the roller coaster of emotions you might be feeling. I can empower you and your partnership. I can empathize with many of your situations.
This is a unique time and there isn’t a playbook. If I can support any of you right now, please reach out.
For those financially affected by this, my rate for you is donation based.

Good morning. I get accused of not blogging enough or writing enough. This long post should cover my word count for a few months.🙂
I have been quietly reflecting and deciding when it was appropriate for me to speak up.
My instinct is to provide healing, to listen, to assist, to DO. This has been hard for me this past month. I knew I couldn’t yet. I felt like to help others I had to do this in a specific order.
1st: Take care of me. Putting my oxygen mask on before helping others. (Not much pun intended with “mask”). This took the form of me reaching out for advice, meditating, communicating, and making plans (Fluid, ever-changing plans, as many of you are doing).
I had planned to be traveling for the next few months with a girlfriend. That trip lasted less than a month. My traveling is how I recharge, volunteer, connect to different cultures, feel purposeful. So there was some grief and shock about returning. Nepal was our first stop and then other countries that I planned to see, closed their borders. I knew it was time to come home to my family. I am at peace with it now. I’m grateful for what I saw and learned. Now that the frenzy of traveling has settled, I can reflect on the magic of the trip.
2. I had to come home to closing my physical clinic, a building I own, and being quarantined straight away. I needed to figure out finances in our house. I have tenants who are also affected and want to make sure we are all taken care of. We have found creative ways to make it all happen.
3. I wanted time with my husband. I wanted to make sure all of our needs in our partnership were met before I assisted others. It’s been nice to have quality time without distractions. I also needed time to be sad to realize I may not see those I love for a few more weeks. (Sorry mom)
Plus the guilt about roommates who can’t come home until we get the “all clear”. (Sorry Sarah and Leah)
4. Because of international travel and feeling unwell, my doctor had me test for COVID19. So that’s interesting to believe all is okay in your body and at the same time, notice EVERY cough in our house. “Was that dry!!” Has been yelled for over a week between all of us here. I’m still waiting for the results of the test.
5. I wanted to feel grounded. I wanted to feel like I was in a place to offer something to those in fear, frustration, overwhelm, and underwhelm. I couldn’t do any of that until I took care of me: my health, my family, my business.
This has been hard and necessary for me. I wanted to rush to assist couples and those who are also struggling right now. The best way to be of service is to personally use what I have learned first.
My house is happy. I am content. We are playing. We are communicating. We are growing.
Because I took the time to take care of me, I have space to hold for you. I am not saying I have all my s**t together and we have it figured out over here. I am saying I woke up today feeling loved, feeling grounded, feeling calm. If I can share that with any of you, I am reopen for business. I plan to write more, share helpful tips, explore and be curious to our current needs, and stay connected.
Phone and virtual coaching is now available again.❤️

I really really love this!
12/29/2018
I don’t love the labeling of this.
I would rather it said “Ways to be successful” and “Ways that will hold you back from your highest potential”.
I believe highly successful people sometimes do things on the “unsuccessful” list.
Instead of making yourself wrong for what you are doing-
Use awareness to notice WHAT you are doing. Understand you have CHOICE and learn WHY you choose that behavior.
I believe that is also success.

Teen Is Rejected Before Homecoming And Laughed At, Then Sees 13 Girls Standing In Front Of Him
