☀️New Teacher Bright Spot☀️
Peyton Humphreys, 5th grade ELA/reading and science teacher at John B Cary Elementary School.
🔈"The first year of teaching is everything I’ve ever heard it would be: challenging, yet oh so rewarding. Each day, I find that I am learning new things about myself alongside my students. We have been faced with numerous obstacles and moments that felt nearly impossible. Through hard work and teamwork, we have created a tight-knit family within the four walls of my class. My primary goal is to help each scholar who comes into my classroom leave a better and stronger person than when they came in, both academically and emotionally. I am blessed to be a teacher, a mentor, a friend, and a shoulder to cry on for these young minds. I look forward to continuing to foster excitement in the classroom and a joy for learning in each of my scholars.” ~ Peyton Humphreys
The Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay has planned the next Garden Cleanup day at the Reforestation area on Tuesday, May 16th from 9:00-12:00pm. For this event, we currently have 7 volunteers signed up and would love to get more parents involved, if they are available.
Please spread the word to use the Hands On Signup to register for the event.
